The History

The Silver Knot gives visitors a true “Montana Welcome”. Kurt and Traci Johnson, the owners, offer visitors a scenic drive as they travel past Crow Creek, up the drive towards a view of the breathtaking Mission Mountains. For years, the location has been operating as a destination wedding venue. However, because of COVID-19, their wedding bookings have dwindled. As a result, in the summer of 2020, they have decided to branch out and build a small campground. This camping area will eventually be made available to wedding families and their guests in future wedding seasons. The SIlver Knot wedding venue sits lit up against a night sky.

The Business Today

This stunning ranch mainly operates as a destination wedding venue, but, as mentioned above, they have recently branched out to include RV overnighters. Their location offers a picturesque view of Montana’s Mission Mountains only about an hour from Missoula, Montana. Many guests stop by on their way to Glacier National Park and comment on the property’s stunning backdrop, which includes a waterfall feature and a small pond, in addition to the mountains.A pond and waterfall feature sit in front of the mountains at Silver Knot.On top of offering a fantastic wedding location, they have a small, on-site gift shop that offers local fruit wines, jams, honey, coffee, salsa, artwork, apparel, locally-made gifts, and more. A gift shop sits filled with jams, syrups, and other homemade goods atop a barrel.
