About
Nestled on a family hay farm in the heart of Washington State, this boutique cidery showcases a meticulously maintained 7-acre orchard with nearly 3,000 apple trees representing approximately 32 different heirloom varieties. The cidery specializes in small-batch, complex, dry, and off-dry sparkling hard ciders crafted from heirloom bittersweet and bittersharp apples. By blending traditional and modern techniques, the operation produces high-quality, full-bodied, crisp ciders that highlight the unique flavor profiles of each apple variety.
Guests consistently praise the peaceful, picturesque setting surrounded by rolling farmland and the flat, easy-to-navigate gravel parking areas positioned near the hay barn. The property offers ample space for relaxation and exploration, with scenic views perfect for sunsets and sunrises, and quiet nights ideal for rest. Many visitors appreciate the opportunity to wander the grounds, enjoy farm sights and sounds including wildlife and fresh hay aromas, and take advantage of amenities like walking trails throughout the property.
Tours and tastings showcase the fascinating craft behind each cider, from the apple-pressing process through barrel aging to final bottling. Guests consistently highlight the informative and welcoming nature of on-site experiences, which include insights into the family's rich history, including patent drawings from an inventive ancestor displayed in the tasting room. Many visitors leave with purchases of ciders and other farm products like fresh honey.
Throughout the year, the location hosts live music events that add to the charm and appeal of an overnight stay. While situated a scenic drive away from the main highway, visitors repeatedly emphasize that the journey through beautiful countryside is well worth the effort for a truly restorative farm experience.
