We own 1.37 acres here in Horseshoe Bend. In the summer chicken's run and eggs are for sale. During the winter, Horseshoe Hill is a good place for staying overnight somewhere safe with a view of the valley and Payette river! We have a long, uphill, dirt drive way. One side being a hillside and the other being a drop-off. I wouldn't recommend for long rigs. Parking is on the right, just past our neighbors schoolie. If it's been raining it WILL be muddy and hard to get up, esp. with just 2WD. Horseshoe Bend is a tiny town with one mercantile, one bar, a gun shop, and a few restaurants. We haven't tried any yet, but the Mexican place is supposed to be the best. The gun shop also have some very cool, locally made knives and hatchets that look like they were made for a Viking. The fishing on Payette is great and just a short drive (or walk/bike ride) from our home. We frequently view bald eagles and hawks eating from the Payette.
