Hi We are located in the Kawartha Lakes region of central Ontario. This is a beautiful area with numerous lakes and rivers. Great boating and fishing, ATV trails, snowmobiling, hiking and biking. If you are travelling together with someone else, we can usually accommodate that too. As we love to travel ourselves, we may not always be available, but many of our trips are short or flexible on date. Please send a request with your tentative dates and we will see if we can work something out. We would love to meet you and hear your stories! Away from the city lights in a quiet and peaceful area, with great stargazing at night. You can sometimes hear the wolves howling in the distance, or get an occasional visit from a deer or a wild turkey. Suggested Local Attractions:Peterborough lift locks; Trent Canal; Fenelon Falls (a very pretty small town with a great beach, liftlocks, the waterfalls and Kawartha Dairy); Lake Simcoe; lots of outdoor activities available. 90 minutes south to Toronto; an hour north to Haliburton Highlands. Good boating, fishing, ATV, biking and hiking trails. Some local permits may be required. Lots of smalltown fairs and outdoor concerts over the summer months.
