About
We're in Beersheba Springs, a small town about 35 minutes from I-24. if you have the time, it's totally worth the drive! The boondocking spot is located next to a huge barn that is used for local gatherings and weddings, adjacent to a scenic pond and a horse pasture. The small town has only one store -- the Beersheba Springs Market. Please visit and support the store! They sell groceries, gas, B5 diesel, drinks 'n snacks, and prepared food (sandwiches, pizza, subs, BBQ, hand-dipped ice cream, and more). The store also has fast free wifi, some hardware, fresh produce, and some fun souvenirs (tee-shirts, hats, hoodies, local crafts, and more). The old library is near the store; mostly open on M/W/F but check the sign out front to be sure. www.BeershebaSpringsMarket.com We have fast free wifi at the barn. Despite the rural location, it's fiber. You can see more about the location on www.BeershebaBarn.com The concrete pad that you can use is described as the parking area for the barn. Suggested Local Attractions: Feel free to wander to the back side of the barn and enjoy the little pond and sunset views. You are also welcome to walk down to the pond; to the left is a gate that leads across the little dam to the far side of the pond. Feel free to wander over there; the woods are pretty. Nearby, you might want to visit Savage Gulf State Park, featuring the Great Stone Door, Greeter Falls, and more. Stone Door is a couple of miles away; when you get back to Hiway 56, turn right and look for the brown state park sign in about half a mile. It's an easy 1 mile walk to the overlook. More details at the ranger station once you are inside the park. Greeter Falls is also a couple of miles away; when you get back to Hiway 56, turn left (towards Altamont). Look for the brown & white "Greeter Falls" sign on your right. If you get to Altamont, you went too far. From the Greeter Falls parking lot, it's about a 15 minute walk from the parking lot to the falls. The "Blue Hole" is also pretty. On Saturday afternoons from May through October, the Beersheba Springs Museum is open. When you drive back to Hiway 56, turn left and it's on your right (before the local market).
