About
We are located in Burbank, Washington and the property overlooks the Columbia River. There is access to the McNary Wildlife refuge across the road from the property for walking, biking, canoeing, birding, or kayaking. Hunting is also allowed for licensed hunters in the refuge during the open season. Generally, the location is quiet, although a train spur runs below the house so you can hear the train blow the whistle. Due to the elevation drop from the house to the tracks, you can't see the trains, however. Pets on a leash are welcome but should not be allowed off-leash and must be picked up after. Barbecues are OK, but during the dry season may be ill-advised due to extreme fire hazards. Please check with us before starting your barbecue. Generators are OK as well between the hours of 8 AM and 9 PM. Please observe quiet hours from 10 PM until 7 AM. Suggested Local Attractions: Wineries abound in this area for touring and tasting. There are also some breweries and tap houses as well. Kayaking and fishing trips on the Columbia and Snake rivers can be arranged with local guides for in-season species such as sturgeon, salmon, walleye, steelhead, and bass. There are several museums in the area including the Hanford Reach Museum and a planetarium. In the cities of Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco there are miles of biking and hiking trails along the river. There are also cultural events such as Cool Desert Nights and the Tumbleweed Music Festival.

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: The access to the back of the property can be made by making a wide turn in the road in front of the house. The road to our house is paved. The only access issue is dodging the telephone box that is adjacent to the gravel driveway to the back of the property. See photos of driveway for details on the telephone box location. If you have a longer RV the best approach to the driveway is from the west on Hanson Loop. You may have to turn around or drive to our house on Hanson Loop from Burbank. Call before arriving for more information. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicles can be parked next to or with the RV being towed. Water and power (15 amp only) are available for use at no cost.
