1. Rose’s Berry Farm - Connecticut
The first stop on our New England summer tour is at Rose’s Berry Farm in S. Glastonbury, Connecticut. All summer long, guests can expect u-pick berries seasonally, which includes blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries, as well as a farm store with lots of other fresh produce varieties. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, guests can also find a deck area, baked goods, seasonal hay rides, nearby hiking, and an excellent restaurant, serving up cozy cuisines. Harvest Hosts members tend to enjoy the views of the property and the on-site pond. This farm showcases some of the best that rural Connecticut has to offer, so be sure not to miss it.
2. Jamestown Golf Course - Rhode Island
Incorporated in 1678, Jamestown was once a part of Massachusetts Bay Colony. Later on, it became a part of the state of Rhode Island. Today, Jamestown is an excellent place to visit the coast of New England, while also allowing visitors to enjoy shops, restaurants. The town of Jamestown sits beside the popular town of Newport, Rhode Island, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations along the state’s “Classic Coast.” Harvest Hosts golf members visiting Jamestown and/or Newport are in luck! After spending the day exploring and enjoying the area, they can stay overnight at the lovely Jamestown Golf Course. This public, nine-hole golf course was opened in 1901, and its history is very apparent. There is also a restaurant available for non-avid golfers. Keep in mind that this location is only available for RVs under thirty feet in length.
