Situated on 10 beautiful acres with 6 miles of vineyards, Summer Crush is the original “sun and surf winery experience” according to the charismatic owner, Gary Roberts. He has been collecting surf boards since 1972 and has an epic collection in the tasting room.

There are live music events every weekend on Saturday and Sunday in the pavilion, complete with tables made out of vintage surf boards. The warm and welcoming tasting room is also filled with surf boards from Gary’s collection.

Want to play some games? The winery is chock full of them: Corn hole, giant Jenga, bocce ball, disc golf, giant checkers and more!

Summer Crush’s signature muscadine wine is delicious and as local as you can get, created from 6 miles of vineyards, “with about 2,000 grapes, and I know that because I planted them all!” Gary says.

Using Florida’s native muscadine grape, the popular Pink Flamingo wine uses the juice from the red muscadine grape and mango for a sweet and tropical taste. It’s the perfect vacation drink! Not drinking on this trip? You can also try the straight muscadine juice, which is also delicious. Summer Crush is a very popular spot with Harvest Hosts members. “Wow! This is our first Harvest Hosts stay and it’s going to be a tough act to follow. We came for an event which is in a 400 seat venue. They have an awesome schedule of events. Tonight there are three food trucks. The food is great. They seriously do a first class job. It’s 2.5 hours from our house, but I’m really hoping there’s no limit to how often we can come because This is amazing!
