Just 15 minutes north of Cortez, Co. and 1/2 mile off Hwy 491, we offer convenience yet the peace and solitude of the country. All our sites are pull thru and offer views of the San Juan Mountains, Mesa Verde Mountains and the Sleeping Ute mountain. We are driving distance from Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, Hovenweep and other outdoor activities in the Four Corners Area. We have 107 acres so feel free to hike around! Just be aware that our place is still a work in progress so building may be going on, fences going up, etc. 2022 is the first year we've had our RV sites up and ready for guests. Thanks to all who donated we planted nine trees in 2022. Unfortunately, varmits destroyed four of our trees this winter so we are debating planting new trees. We had such a rough winter that we had to add more gravel to our sites. Just installed is a facet so members can fill their RV. Grass seed is ordered so we can start grass between our sites. First up is grass for the area we would like to put a picnic table. Thank heaven the critters left those trees alone so maybe some day we'll have a shaded picnic site!

We have lived in the Four Corners area of Colorado for almost 20 years. We like to travel but are developing a new home site so are staying home more. Our home away from home is a Hitch Hiker fifth wheel. Arizona is where we usually spend our winter months to get away from the Colorado cold.

Easy to find with lots of room to park any size rig! Caroline is a gracious host who met us when we arrived. She is warm, inviting and very knowledgable about the region and essentail travel information. We had a wonderful time during our stay visiting Mesa Verde, four corners, Monument Valley and many of the sites of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. This is an amazing region and the location is perfect to base out of for exploration. A few quick notes: there is water on site to fill your tank when you arrive, leave a contribution for the privilage; the sites are in an open pasture, so expect wind, dust and a big sky; watch for critter holes; Cortez will have about anything you need. Thank You Caroline!

What a great 5-night stay in mid-October! Hosts communication was excellent, they greeted us at arrival, gave us our choice of parking spots and shared information on the area. Hosts have put a lot of work into making this a great boondocking experience (several site options). We’re a 40’ 5th wheel; access was easy, there is plenty of room to maneuver into and park in one of the long/level pull through sites. It’s very quiet, we’ve seen eagles, ducks, geese, prairie dogs and heard the coyotes. There are plenty of deer tracks, but we didn’t see them. There’s lots of cattle and horses in the area too. If you’re coming to the 4-corners region see historical sites and experience a laid-back friendly environment this is the place; 20 minutes to Cortez for all your supply needs, 40-minutes to Hovenweep, 30 minutes to Masa Verde (mountains and ancient ruins) and the views are spectacular. We only scratched the surface on things to do in the area. Have your binoculars/camera handy. Fabulous sun rise/sets are a daily occurrence and dark skies for star gazing too. I highly recommend this Boondockers welcome host. We’ll return if we’re in the area.
