From Arizona, we have had 8 exchange students and love our local stay-cations. We don't own an RV at the moment. I'm typing this 2024, with hopes to build a nice RV resort right off the i-40 in Holbrook. Wish me luck!

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Back Road Abode. The owner gave us wonderful directions to make sure we made it to the stop. Great level parking with plenty of space. We had one other person staying here, but did not fell that they were on top of us, and we never even saw them. The stop was centrrally located to the Meteor Crater, Winslow, and the Petrified Forest National Park. The views at night were stunning. Beautiful sunsets, but also there is a electric generating station in the distance that is lit up, and with the traffic from I-40 going by it has an other worldy feel in my mind that was just awesome. One of my most enjoyable Harvest Host stays.

I loved it here! Shari was so nice, so welcoming and so hospitable. I thought right at home, parked right in front of the cows and goats! The sunset was beautiful. There was a sudden wind gust, and one of her family members even ran out to see if I needed help putting anything away. That was so thoughtful. I definitely recommend this as a stop on your journey. And on a personal note, good luck, Shari, with your business venture! 💫

Everything is better with some cows around. Arrived early afternoon and did a quick unhook before heading to Petrified National Forest nearby for the afternoon and Painted Desert for the sunset. (Start at the south entrance and end in the north!) Very easy to find location with Google maps. Address was spot on. Very easy to set up on nicely mostly level ground. Faced the cows and fence so I could enjoy a friendly hello from the cow neighbors and enjoy tge morning sunrise. They (the cows, that is) were mostly quiet and tame, except when my headlights disturbed them when I returned after dark (MOO!). A great, although brief, stop on my way to New Mexico. Would definitely stay again. Great communication from host. Felt very safe as a solo traveler. Thanks to the host for the accommodations!
