We live on 3 1/2 wooded acres surrounded by much larger undeveloped property on two sides. In spite of the fact that we seem to be isolated we are within 10 to 15 minutes of almost anything you would want like Home Depot, supermarkets, auto supply stores, Walmart etc. The property also contains an Airbnb rental with a variety of amenities that are available to our paying guests. We are providing a quiet space facing the woods with a 30 amp electric hook up and a hose to fill your tank. If you are traveling with a dog that does not get along with other dogs this is not a good fit. Our super-friendly pup wants to play! If you need to reach me my number is 203-644-5124 Suggested Local Attractions:There’s a lot to do here, including our own private hiking trail. There are many restaurants and other attractions. Because we are also Airbnb hosts we have a website which contains a lot of information about local attractions. The website is “ourcountryproperty.com”

We want our guest to be quiet and respectful. You can smoke next to your RV but no other place. Children are welcome. We have a very active puppy who will probably greet you enthusiastically. If you don’t like dogs you won’t like it here! While we don’t expect you to be gone first thing in the morning, please don’t overstay your welcome. If you have a dog he/she must be friendly and you will need to show a Rabies certificate
Location
Access Road Conditions: We have a 500 foot long Blacktop driveway that is just wide enough for a motorhome. There is enough space at the bottom of the driveway to park a guest motorhome as well as our own Phoenix 31. I regularly drive our Phoenix up and down and can turn it around in the driveway. My previous rig was a 40 foot bluebird which came down the driveway but Had to be backed out because it was too large to turn around. There are no overhanging trees that would get in the way. If you want to hook up to our 30amp you will need an extension to your shore power cord. We do not allow generators. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We can only accommodate a motorhome and a toad. No trailers or fifth wheels. They cannot be turned around in our space.

This place was really peaceful and beautiful. The host, Gabe, was very helpful and responsive, giving us good driving route tips ahead of arrival. He and his dogs also greeted us when we arrived. The dogs are wonderful and playful, we just went extra slow because the host had asked that we did because unfortunately one dog had been hit by another guest. So be super careful when pulling down the long drive. We arrived right around sunset and the view from this property is unbelievable. Not the easiest place to turn around for longer RVs but can be done with patience. I would say because of the narrow driveway and turning around by a steep drop off its best to arrive before dark, but once you are parked the view is really outstanding.

Gabe was nice and gave good directions, especially mentioning to avoid the parkway because of low bridge. We unfortunately arrived ar night - which was a little unnerving because the driveway is very long, narrow, dark forestry area with branches on the right side sticking out at entrance. Our 29 ft Class C rig seemed a little too big/wide because when we got to our parking area, we needed to turn around - it was very tight with a big drop off so we had to make at least a 6 point turn to make it. We would say less than 25 feet is more ideal. Gabe offers power of 20amp or 30amp for donation which is nice.

Everrything was good. Host communication, directions, access, parking. The place is beautiful with a nice place to hike starting right off the parking spot. Thank you. One important note as mentioned by the host: you cant drive on the “parkways” in CT with an RV. So I believe any road that is called So&So “Parkway”, and there are several of them in this part of CT, can’t be used to get to the host location. Check your directions for the name of the highway and plan appropriately.
