We met these hosts when they stayed on our host site as guests. They are WONDERFUL people, both as guests and hosts. Very gracious and good hearted people! Great location for a host site!

It was absolutely wonderful to spend two nights at Barnwell Basecamp. Brett and Nancy are kind, talented, generous people and the yard is very peaceful and comfortable. Brett met me upon arrival and helped guide me as I backed into the yard. There was plenty of space and the yard was level. The soil was compact so eventhough it had rained, it wasn’t rutted or muddy. There is a lot to see in the area if you are interested in history and I hope to see more the next time I am in town. Thank you Brett and Nancy for a fantastic stay!

These folks set the bar high, even for other hosts! After arriving, and getting settled we were treated to home baked goodies and some good conversations, which the drizzle that continued all night put an end to. Congaree National Park and Swan Lake and Iris Gardens in Sumter shouldn't be missed if you're in the area. After arriving back "home" the following day we were greeted with 2 slices of delicious cake from Brett's catering business. Talking about food (what else is there) ensued until more rain and appointments again curtailed the festivities. It seems that once more we arrive as strangers and leave as friends.

We were honored to be Brett and Nancy's first stay. We had a absolute wonderful time. This is a quiet neighborhood with a very level spot. Directions were easy to get to and communications was great. We enjoyed meeting family and hearing about the area. Thank you for our time and we want to come back!
