Our home is located between Manitowoc and Two Rivers on a quiet, dead end road within the boundaries of Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve. Woodland Dunes is a 1,500 acre preserve with miles of walking/hiking trails. The Wisconsin Ice age Trail runs through the preserve as well. The trails are easily accessed via a short ¼ mile walk from our property. For more information on Woodland Dunes or interactive trail guides check the following site: https://www.woodlanddunes.org/. The trails are closed during the fall deer hunting season. The Mariner’s Trail, along the shores of Lake Michigan, is around 1¼ miles from our property. This paved trail is a beautiful place to run, walk, or bike. For more information on the Mariner’s Trail, check the following site: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/wisconsin/mariners-trail. A few area attractions are: The Rahr-West Museum and Mansion, the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, West of the Lakes Gardens, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, numerous breweries, and more. Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers Stadium) is 45 min. away and the Badger Carferry is about 20 min. from our property. There is a free public dumping station available just a few miles from us. Free well water is available on our property (It could be hooked up, but is about 50 feet away from the parking area). A 50 amp service is located outside of our workshop. Because of the seasonal wet areas within the dunes, mosquitoes can be an issue. If traveling with another camper, we could accommodate, but only one would be able to hook up to the electricity at a time. If this is desired, please let us know in advance.

My wife and I have been empty nesters for the last 5+ years and are nearing retirement. We both grew up in the area. Since I am an educator, I am typically around home during the summer months. In 2021 we purchased a starter motorhome to see how we would like the RV life. We have been enjoying our road trips and have mostly traveled to see our children and grandkids who live near the boundary waters of Minnesota. We have also been utilizing Harvest Hosts locations to check out midwestern sites. Our property is rather secluded and has a lot of wildlife. The area surrounding our 4 acres is widely known for birdwatching. The soothing waves of Lake Michigan can be heard from both the east and the south since the Manitowoc area juts out into Lake Michigan. We no longer have any pets, but welcome them as long as guests clean up after them.

Cedar Haven was a great experience. Nestled in a vast Cedar Forest, with a park like setting, quiet, dark and comforting. The owner was wonderfully accommodating and kind. It was our pleasure to experience this part of the Wisconsin North woods.

A perfect location around the corner from the SS Badger ferry. Paul was an exceptional host. Used the electric and he provided an extension so I could use my slide and get to the electric hook up. Property is in a very quiet location about a mile off the main road so no traffic noise.

its hard to top any of the previous reviews, they have said it all. Paul ( host) has raised the bar for hosting. The nature preserve surrounding their property is marvelous. We planned on one night but found we needed two. They were very accommodating.
