We loved our overnight here and hooking up with electricity in the huge 3sided. steel farm building for a little protection from the wind was a bonus!! Dwight and their dog, Josie (a super friendly goldendoodle) met us & showed us where to park. We also did fill up our water tank. We met and got to talk with Connie later and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I wished we could’ve talked more in the morning. However, due to a forecast of 65 mile hour wind gusts, we decided we needed to head south to our destination in Dallas. This was one of the quietest nights we’ve ever had boondocking and would love to come back again. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets are accommodated at this historically steeped farm and the dozen fresh eggs, German cookies and tourist information Connie gave us were an extra delight. ❤️

My wife, dog and I stayed here for a night en-route to our destination. The day had been very windy, so I was really happy to see we were given a parking spot in the shed with the farm equipment and sheltered from cold wind. Our pup loved exploring around and even meeting the chickens. Highly recommend.

This is by far, our best Boondockers Welcome stay. We so enjoyed meeting and talking with Connie and Dwight. What wonderful folks. Their farm was the perfect place to spend the night with both the moon and the stars shining down. So quiet and peaceful. It was so fun to stay on a real farm and get a glimpse of farm life. We won't forget the Claassen's and hope to see them again.

We spent a very peaceful 2 nights iver a weekend here with these beautiful people. Idyllic setting on an ancestral and still working farm. They showed us to a level spot in shelter of some high winds. Enjoyed coffee and chat with our hosts and even a visit with the hens and kittens. Very grateful for the gift of eggs and information about the town of Newton where we found everything we needed. We wont ever forget our stay with the Claassens in Kansas. Thanks again!
