Both Doug and Deed are career service employees for the State of South Dakota. They love their little slice of the prairie with room for the kids and grandkids to play with the dog alongside the chickens and turkeys. They are also entertained in watching our neighbors cows and calves play in in the field next to them. They both have enjoyed RV’ing since they were little kids. Nothing more relaxing than enjoying a happy hour sitting around a fire pit!

My pets and I enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep and viewing the neighboring cows and on-site chickens before heading out to the trails of Fort Pierre and hitting the nearby walmart for a re-stock.

we arrived after 6, but prior communication made settling in easy. City of Pierre has lots of amenities for travelers.

This is a great stop! take a good couple of days so you can explore the beautiful state parks! (We rode our bikes into Farm Island State Park from Doug and Deeds place). The parks are so clean and there is a public dump station in the park that is pristine, no kidding! Communication was awesome, I didn't meet Doug and Deed until our last night but they are so gracious! Definitely will stay there again when going through their neck of the woods!! Tom the turkey greeted us every morning coming out of our RV, how awesome is that!
