Welcome to the Crabapple Cottage. Park on the lawn or in the driveway at our simple bungalow located in the quiet town of Onanole. You are welcome to spread out in the yard with your picnic or jump on the trampoline!! Onanole is just a few kilometers from Riding Mountain National Park. There is a great back trail for a bike ride to the park and lots of amenities including beautiful Clear Lake. Famous for boating, hiking and wildlife sitings you will be impressed by this park! Just down the street from the cottage is Poor Michael”s Emporium.. a gorgeous little coffee/gift/music venue (on Friday night). You can also walk to Home Hardware which has groceries/meat and hardware. Also if live music is your thing visit Sport”s bar with lively happy hours. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. My neighbour's house is a little disheveled but he is sweet not to worry. Enjoy the invigorating air and you may even see a little fox run across the yard.

I am a gypsy at heart and drag my handy husband along. We are retired, self employed, grandparents. We winter in Sayulita, Mexico. This year we are driving our 1980 Chevy Class C Motorhome to her new digs in the south. We are from Brandon, Manitoba. Brandon is a small Canadian prairie city of 55,000. We have two daughters and three grankiddies in Canada and one daughter and two grandkids that live on our property in Mexico. We are wannabe musicians and enjoy a good jam. We also host Boondockers on our cottage property in Onanole, Manitoba just outside Riding Mtn National Park. Come and stay sometime. It is iconic Canada. Clear lakes, log cabins and buffalo!

Stayed here for two nights. Was impressive how close to the national park they are. They are also right near the post office, which is convenient to walk to. The road has little traffic. the parking location is sloped so we did need to go up some extra blocks than normal. we very much appreciated the host letting us stay here!

After visiting Mont Riding, it was super easy and nice to park at the crabapple cottage. Our kids enjoyed a lot the trampoline. Thank you

Easy to find and quiet little area, level and electricity. My creative and musical hostess was a delight, and offered help with a few things that brightened my stay. Riding Mountain National Park is close by with good hiking and lovely lakes.
