Stephen and Patty were very friendly and accommodating. Communication was prompt and clear. Hookups were easy to access and we were so thankful to have them! They set a new record high temperature of 105° during our stay so, our A/C's were cranking! We will be in the area again next spring and had planned to actually boondock but after staying at DesertStephen's, our plans have changed. We'll be back! Thank you, Patty & Stephen!

We had a pleasant overnight in the desert…and this really IS in the desert! There is now a gate across their road/drive which you must open which confused us at first. If you can see the flagpole you are almost there! Good experience, enjoyed meeting both hosts and chatting at length with Patty. Quiet night, altitude made is comfortable overnight as well. Thank you for your hospitality!

This place is awesome! Full hookups. Simple. Quiet. Desert views. It’s much better than most any campground. Leveling was easy. Our rig is just a bit over 71 feet and we were able to get in quite easily. We’d plan to explore a bit, but appreciated the peace and quiet so much we just stayed around. Setup our rug and table. Played some frisbee. Took some walks. It was not exciting which was perfect. We did stumble upon another property with some unfriendly pit bulls but ultimately it was no problem. Stephen is such a nice cat. Very knowledgeable and helpful. If you just want to get away and see some amazing sunsets, this is your jam.

They were responsive from the first request message to the time we got to their location months later. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Great location as it is not far from yucca valley, pioneer town, & Joshua tree national park. We are a large 43’ fifth wheel and didn’t have any issue getting in or out. The only challenges would be the roadways were washboard once off the pavement and it was quite rough even going 5mph and under. Probably some of the worst washboard I’ve been on. Just take it easy (travel less than 5mph) and you should be fine the only other challenge was that the site for the full hookup was very unlevel, but we were able to get level and stable with some cribbing to support everything. Hookups we’re in a great location and parking for the tow vehicle was right beside site. We would definitely stay again and would consider a longer stay if needed. Highly recommend!

We used the full hook up spot without problem. The water is well water so be aware of that, otherwise we had a really great stay. Follow the given directions rather than google maps. Thank you for hosting us!
