Dream Lake

I was passing through and just stayed one night at Dream Lake. Daren and Jackie were very communicative and came out to greet me when I arrived. Their place is beautiful with a nice level spot for my van. Unfortunately it poured the next morning so I wasn't able to get down to the lake, but I'll happily boondock here again!

This was our first Boondockers stay and it was perfection. The location was very easy to find and there was plenty of space to park our 25ft RV. We were able to park so that our view was the lovely wooded area and pond. They allow catch and release fishing and use of the fire pit, neither of which we took advantage of, but appreciated just the same. Around the fire pit are some very comfortable Adirondack chairs that made for a very nice afternoon relaxing under the trees and enjoying the scenery. The neighborhood is idyllic, with cows, horses, geese, ducks, and deer all within our view at some point during our stay. Our dogs were in awe! There was plenty of space to walk our dogs both on the property and down the quiet road. We even met a neighbor who couldn't have been nicer. Our hosts were out for the majority of our stay, but allowed us to stay anyway. My husband got to meet them briefly after they arrived back home. They were so kind and excellent at communicating before and during our stay. We would be happy to return here and highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stop outside of Denison/Sherman.

A serene boondocking spot with a beautiful view of the lake. The communication with the host was wonderful and the directions to the site were spot-on. We were surprised by the ample room to park our 35' Fifth Wheel. Such a peaceful vibe at Dream Lake! It was a chilly night and the host informed us we were even welcome to run our generator all night, if necessary. Another feature available to use was a large firepit area, stocked with firewood that was offered for us to use, as well. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area, as it was just what we needed for a peaceful evening and was not too far off the beaten path which allowed us to get back to our travels the following day.
