Must read "House Rules" section below. Fairly peaceful suburban canal front with crude kayak launch and fishing for bass and tilapia. I have a friendly mini Aussie and a neighbor dog plays with her that is intimidating looking, but friendly. Better description, video, about the host, rules, area attractions, dump stations, etc.: http://www.econeato.org/host.html Boat tours on canal not available due to breached levy causing low water.

House Rules

No generator use, no dumping fluids of any kind (nearest dump stations: https://tinyurl.com/48kzbpx8), no smoking or heavy vaping - not even in your own rig unless filtered, no aggressive pets, do not feed my dog anything / do not leave any food out, don't leave your door open or my dog will go in and eat anything it finds, do not feed wildlife, keep pets away from canal (gators ambush), no laundry service, no mail service, no borrowing unless honest mistake you forgot something. Loud music/TV OK if commercial free. Please minimize unsightly personal property outside of your rig (laundry, etc.), but chairs, grill, etc. are fine. Fill your freshwater tank and turn water off, do not leave on since leaks waste a lot (my house water filter is pricey). I know it's hard to find good camping, but I don't like hosting long term so please don't ask to stay a long time; not interested in roommates / work for place to stay, etc. Details about rules and other important info: http://www.econeato.org/host.html

Location

If heavy rains, no hosting service due to possibility of you getting stuck. No culvert, so vehicles with anything very low to the ground may bottom out. Narrow grassy area is close to power and water, but closer to my home and work garage work area (or) spacious dirt lot without power or water. Not level: You must have your own levels as I do not loan. No generator use. Blackout curtains recommended due to bright motion security lights (grassy area by house). There are several security cameras I don't monitor unless a reason. Beware of biting fire ants that can suddenly build new mounds anywhere at any time. Video tour of parking options as of 11/1/22: https://youtu.be/baRUnKnRifs

Clean, quiet, single-solo, non-smoker, problem solver. Have a friendly, well behaved, beautiful Mini Aussie service dog I clean up after. I have a canal home in North Port, Florida where I host without requiring payment for utilities as I do it to share space and meet new people. I usually arrive around sunset, but am open to a time convenient for you. I prefer to park on a level surface, if not, I have levels.

Suburban Canal was a welcome place to stay while I assessed hurricane damage to our place nearby. He was a very accommodating host - prompt communications, excellent directions, assistance in parking. I enjoyed talking van build-outs and travel with him. And I enjoyed providing him some troubleshooting assistance during my stay.

Awesome host and very comfortable stay at Eric’s pad. He was very accommodating offering great conversation, electrics/water hook-up, and my dog was even able to make some new friends :) Thanks for being a breath of fresh air after navigating Miami and Naples. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

We had a fabulous time at and with Eric and his dog Tidy. Very organized hook up, water and wifi. We had access to the canal bank and even took our kayak out. Eric was very kind and informative.
