Retired educator and retired woodworker Details: We are a long time married couple. We live on a 10 acre property and have had horses, goats and chickens over the years, but currently only have dogs sharing our space with us. Our home is in a rural neighborhood, but is only five minutes off of Interstate 495, 8 minutes from a grocery store and 10 minutes to the commuter rail to Boston. Home Town: Wrentham, MA We live in Wrentham, MA (home of the Wrentham Premium Outlets), but in a rural neighborhood five minutes from there and from Interstate 495. Wrentham is almost equal distance (in mileage) from Providence, RI and Boston, MA. We are also an hour away from the Cape Cod Canal. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We did one 11 week trip and a 6 month cross country trip. On the 6 month trip we visited 38 states and 20 National Parks. Many favorite spots and people along the way! BW was a wonderful resource and we have kept in touch with many of our BW hosts. Skills or Expertise to Share: Gerry converted a 2017 transit van into a class B motor home, which he did completely himself. (Gerry ran a custom woodworking business here for 30 years). Katie speaks several languages, loves to cook and bake, and can also teach you how to play Mah Jongg if you are interested.

First, 5 stars are simply not enough to rate our stay at Katie and Gerry's home. They are literally two of the coolest, nicest human beings you will ever met. This was our first BW stay and we were very nervous to say the least. "What's the catch?" "No one in their right mind would let total strangers stay on their property." These were a few of the questions that seemed to persist in conversations leading up to our stay. Well, we quickly learned what kind of people Gerry and Katie were: AMAZING ONES!!!! From the second we arrived, the warm hospitality was out of this world; and that's coming coming from a Savannah, GA native, where we will invite an ax murderer in for supper and a few drinks. I don't want to divulge too much detail of our stay in this review, as I think that would put them in an impossible situation of repeating the same for all passer's through, so I'll finish with these two points that I think summarize our experience. (1) After our stay, I am more concerned with what they thought of us than this review; "Do you think Katie and Gerry liked us???" (2) Anyone who rated/rates their stay here anything less than 5 stars either had a few drinks and hit the wrong buttons on their laptop, or they are psychopaths. Or both. Thank You Katie, Gerry, Jackson, and Jolene!!!

Gerry and Katie are avid travelers and very hospitable hosts. The communication reaponse time was quick and they were very flexible with our 9pm arrival. Gerry and Katie came out to direct us to our spot just inside their gate and got us hooked up (15 amp extension cord) and settled in. We were also able to chat for a little bit in the AM about their travels and topped off our water tanks. This location feels very safe and is extremely accessible. The parking area is flat without ruts or any other potential issues. I would highly recommend them and would love to stay overnight again!

Gerry and Katie were great hosts, making us feel like friends and not just guests. Learning about their travels and the retrofitting of their van was fascinating. We learned a lot and are inspired to do more exploring in our RV!

The most warm, welcoming and generous hosts. They communicated with us from the moment we booked so we knew exactly what to do. Gave us great advice and even dropped us off and picked us up at the railway station so we could go into Boston. Lovely quiet and scenic area and easy to park. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the time we spent with these 2 lovely people.
