Overlook a small pond as you relax for the evening and watch the logging trucks travel by. We are in East Texas, 40 miles south of Lufkin, 80 miles north of downtown Houston and just a few miles east of Hwy 59 (future Interstate 69). We began taming a tract of East Texas land originally purchased by Dude's great great grandfather during the civil war. We call this tract Dude's Divine Pines, and are enjoying the work to make it our homestead. We love sharing Dude's Divine Pines with friends and family. We do not have any pets or animals but would welcome yours.

I enjoyed my stay near a pond on this lovely homestead. Many different songs from frogs made a relaxing chorus to lull me to sleep. Be sure to follow the excellent directions as GPS sends you the wrong way. Thanks to my hosts!

This is an amazing Boondockers Welcome. They have 100 acres outside of Livingston and in Leggett TX in their family. staying near their pond brought back many memories of our pond in NC. Their property is absolutely beautiful. It is the prettiest spot that we have ever stayed on. Gordon and Tina made us feel at home. It was sad leaving there but hopefully we will be back some day.
