Greetings.... I have two possible areas for parking. One is an area that can accommodate a class C rig 30' or less (back in) and has 15 or 30 amp electric (you won't need a/c here), pressurized well water and possible septic tank hookup if you have a longer sewer connection hose. The other site would work well for a pop-up tent camper or class B or even a tent (elec only). Can not really accommodate a towed vehicle due to limited turn around area but we may be able to work around that if you are willing to unhitch. Both areas have morning shade and afternoon/evening sun. NOTE: I have two very friendly Black Labs that roam freely. They get along well with other animals AFTER introductions, so beware. Pets are welcome. Suggested Local Attractions:Restaurants http://www.theroostofsarona.com/, Taverns, Bait & small grocery store, RV park, Resorts, http://www.butternuthillsgolf.com/ and 20 mile long "Long Lake", Wisconsin's "Walleye Capital" all within 1-2 miles. If you enjoy just relaxing, there's plain ol' pan-fishing & walking in the woods. My place is on a small 40 acre private lake with only 1 other full time retired neighbor. Lots of privacy and absolutely no noise. The nearest big time full grocery store is in Spooner, WI, about 15 miles AND, as all RV folks must know, the nearest Walmart SuperCenter is 25 miles south in Rice Lake, WI. Duluth, MN is about 95 miles NW.

Access Road Conditions: Narrow private dirt road (12' max) from main county road 1/2 mile in to property then down gated driveway to yard and parking area. No overhead obstructions. Early retiree, Dog Person & RV Wanderer Details: Retired US Navy Vietnam era vet & business world "techie" who was lucky enough to retire early and find the ideal spot in the NW Wisconsin woods. I enjoy traveling and RV camping with my two Labs throughout the US but almost always spend the entire Summer here in NW Wisconsin. Have lived and worked in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, the Midwest and a few overseas locations.... still travel and work on "special" projects once in a while. Family & friends everywhere so you never know. Home Town: Sarona, WI on a small local lake Favorite Boondocking Locations: I do a lot of boondocking and dry or dispersed camping in the National Parks & forests, BLM and Corps of Engineers areas. Not a stranger to the occasional WalMart lot when necessary. RV park stays are a rarity. Skills or Expertise to Share: PC & networking whiz, retired electronics field service tech in the graphic arts, architectural and engineering field, excellent cook and great "campfire liar".

This is an amazing spot off of a private lake tucked away in the woods. Gary was very welcoming and kind enough to help me get set up with anything I might need during my stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the peace and beauty all around. I hope to make it back another time!

Gary warmly greeted us and then introduced us to his canine crew who warmly greeted us and our canine crew (2 labs)! This place is perfect for any boondocker looking for a quiet and peaceful stay in the woods and little Watson Lake was a nice bonus. We kayaked and immediately caught the largest crappie my husband has ever seen (and he has cleaned thousands of fish!) Gary was super accommodating and welcoming and we will definitely try to come back every summer if he allows us to!

Gary and "Crew" (his 2 canine kids) warmly greeted me upon my arrival to his cabin in the pines!!! There was plenty of room for parking my 22' camper van and full hook up was offered. The cabin is located on a very private and quiet pond where widlife and solitude abound!! My stopover plans changed, as they so often do, and I did not stay overnight, I will remember this spot, and return to it for a stay, when some quiet /relaxing time is on order!!! Thanks for the invite and hospitality Gary!!! ✌

We had such a nice stay! We were in the area for an event so our visit was short, but we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to spend the night. We were welcomed to this beautiful spot nestled in the woods next to a serene lake by GW and Danny, Lyla, and Rollie (the “crew”), who were very agreeable companions for our small dog. We enjoyed chatting with Gary and we were floored to have WiFi (sufficient to stream Netflix with no problems whatsoever)!!! Best boondocking EV-ER!! We hope to return next year if not sooner. Thank you!
