Location is private and if ground conditions permit, a nice pond is in view. This area is next to garden shed. If ground is too soft (we don't want ruts) then you will need to park near house. Class A will probably need to park 70' off highway which is not private and no hook ups. We are 2-5 miles from a grocery store, auto parts, hospital, library, hardware store, restaurants, and gas stations in small town of Troy. 90 minutes to Ithaca NY, 60 minutes to Corning and Watkins Glenn NY. Ithaca and Watkins Glen have beautiful gorges for hiking and Corning has Corning Glass and Rockwell museums and popular Market St. Ithaca also has a very nice Asian museum on Cornell campus. Great international restaurants in Ithaca. Suggested Local Attractions:See above.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Surface is grass or gravel. Our lane is a dirt road and on a hill. Nothing anyone should have problems with except long class A. In which case u can park at base of lane if location suits u and ground isn't soft. Back in parking spot on my property, if across road at neighbors it is pull through and ground solid. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: It all depends on time of year. If no snow and not too wet there are a few places to park and remain hooked up. Could also accommodate a class A although that may be within 70' of highway. That location is not a drive thru and no hook ups. There is a large open lot across from my drive that may be available, it wouldn't be private and there are no hookups. Belongs to neighbor so I need to get permission for requested time. It might work in a pinch if you just need a place to sleep for the night. There are a couple options for parking a class B or C depending on ground condition. Tow vehicle can be parked beside or near rig. With experience, this info will be updated.

a DIYer Details: My husband and I hope to get on the road in a year or so. Sooner would be nice but I'm being realistic. I'm a licensed massage therapist and have a business in my home. My hubby is retired from construction and truck driving. We love the outdoors and gardening. Taking good care of the environment and our health is important to us, therefore, we don't eat animals. Don't let that stop you from boondocking here on your way through. 🌈 Home Town: We live a couple miles east of Troy, PA. Small town on RT 6 between Mansfield and Towanda. 90 minutes from Watkins Glenn, NY and Ithaca and 60 minutes to Corning, NY. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We haven't begun yet but will prefer country settings but know that won't always be an option and will be grateful for a driveway. Skills or Expertise to Share: Let us know what you need, we may be able to help.

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and engaging. They have a beautiful location with great view. The weather was not the best but they made sure we were comfortable. We would love to stay again.

Kay (and Mark) were the most gracious hosts. Their property is just beautiful and they give you access to enjoy it. The weather plummeted when I arrived and they were so nice to make sure I was warm enough and well taken care of. Kay and I even did a morning walk to talk about her van build. If you are looking for an overall wonderful experience, stay at Halcyon Hill! Thank you Kay! :)

This is a beautiful location and Kay and Mark delightful hosts. This was our first Boondockers stay and we could not have asked for anything better. We would gladly return if passing that way again.

Kay and Mark were great hosts - welcoming and helpful with great communication and directions, and incredibly generous with fresh vegetables from their garden! The property is peaceful and expansive, with meadow fields, open green space, and a pond to enjoy. 15A electric and fresh water for refills were both available by the garage. My pups and I had a great time. Thanks again!
