Hal is an amazing host. He is very kind and made sure we felt at home. The property is gorgeous with all kinds of wildlife. We were able to see plenty of deer and turkies going through the yard. The entrance to Yosemite is a little over 30 min from this spot making the location prime if planning on going into the park. Also, there is a brewery in town with great brews and food. We will 100% be stopping here next time in the area!

We really apprecited Hal letting us stay five nights, we drove down from Oregon. The only thing you need to be aware of is you need to be a good driver to get into Hal's place if you have a big rig. We have a 30' fifthwheel and it was a little challenging getting down his drive way. Hal and his home were amazing. Our stay at his place way exceeded our expectations. Wow! It was quiet, peaceful and the best part of our stay was meeting Hal. he really did make our vacation special and we really felt we made a friend for life. We hope to see him again. Yosemite was great, Hal was better! We hated to leave.

We traveled 380 miles to get here! It was so nice to stay at Halwiseguy's. He is a very hospitable host. We enjoyed getting to know him a bit. We used the spot as home base and did 2 day trips into Yosemite, 1 day trip over to Bass Lake, and checked out Chukchansi Casino on another day. The environment at Hal's was quiet when it mattered most. Overall, I would definitely stay there again! Our trailer is only 16' so we managed a-ok, but with a longer rig it could be tricky to maneuver. There is an incline going out of the property. The electric and water hookups are a huge plus!!

Hal was a true gentleman. He went out of his way to make us welcome. The site was nice and level. The entrance is a little tight, but we were able to get our 24 ft travel trailer in with no problem. I highly recommend Halwiseguy.
