We have a small acreage on the edge of an unincorporated town S of Ft Dodge, IA. No better place in the U.S. to be in the spring and fall. Winter and summer... not so much. We bought a used RV in Nov 19 and headed s for 3 weeks. Got back just before covid hit. The following winter we were out 5 weeks. We made an upgrade after getting back and didn't even get to use it last winter. In the summer try getting up to SD a few times.

There is a large parking area, and we got to set up on a concrete pad next to their beautiful Class A rig. We had a great time talking with Chuck who gave us good advice on boondocking at the Badlands National Park. And we got to pick pears to go.

Gps says 4th street...use 235th...turn Right, go to end of road, u will see large storage container, that is driveway to host. 50 amp hookup, we had to borrow hosts 50 amp ext cord...as our would not reach plug. We stayed with 33 ft 5th wheel, long bed truck, follow car...as long as u are comfortable backing up to park...u should be ok.

The hosts are very sweet and considerate. Great communication leading up to our stay. Easy to get parked and electric hookup was provided. Greeted promptly and got settled quickly. After dinner we chatted with the hosts and they let us pick cherries from their grove. They are rvers as well so great conversation. Very quiet location, well lighted - slept great and felt secure. Thanks so much for a great overnight. Really appreciate you giving back to the rving community through Boondockers Welcome.
