My husband, Jim, and I are from Wilsonville, AL. We volunteer with both Wilsonville Fire Department and Southeast Shelby County Rescue. Jim is the Assistant Fire Chief and an EMT, and I am a Paramedic. We have been RVing for over 15 years, and we have been from pretty much one end of the country to the other. We travel with our cat and our 2 sweet dogs. In addition to RVing, we also enjoy working on our farm, raising horses and cows, Jeeping, kayaking, and hiking.

We had a quiet, level night at this BW site. We felt completely safe. We arrived after dark so we had a little trouble locating the spot. It was marked but the sign was not very visible because of the darkness. We contacted the host and they came right over to make sure we were okay which was so sweet and above-and-beyond the call of duty! We woke up in the morning and met our adorable neighbors: a herd of miniature beef cattle.

This location is the halfway point from our house to the beach. Across the street from the address they provide is a driveway with a very small sign that says "camp here". It's a large open field. More than large enough for us to turn around without unhooking our tow vehicle. We drove around a bit to find a level spot and we were set for the night. The hosts were very good at checking in with us. They gave us their phone numbers in case we had any issues (which we didn't). It was a quiet place to stay. I'm sure we'll return to this spot sometime in the fiture. Thanks to the hosts for being members of BW and allowing us to stay on your land.
