When coming to our place, after driving through a neighborhood you will arrive at a rural setting where you can park on a flat gravel surface. Trees on the property are not a problem. Turn around is available. If towing, you will need to unhook as it is a back-in site. You may hear trains in the distance. We have a lot of deer and other wild animals on the property. If you have a pet it is best to keep it on a leash and/or watch it closely as there are woods all around. We have a large pond on the property which you are more than welcome to swim in and fish. As an FYI, we are about 15 miles off the large highway. If you are looking for a quick over night as you travel through, there is a Walmart and 2 campgrounds much closer to the highway than we are. There is good cell service here except for AT&T, which can be tricky at best. We do not have trash service available. Suggested Local Attractions:The National Stearman Fly-In 8 miles north, the week beginning Labor Day, annually. The first two weekends in October, the Knox County and Spoon River scenic drives are in progress where you will see many crafts, and local foods for sale. Usually the last weekend in June is the Railroad Days festival. There is a wonderful children's museum in the nearest town as well as an historical street with many quaint shops and eateries. 50 minutes north is Arsenal Island with a great deal of historical information and also the John Deere Pavilion with wonderful displays. 50 minutes south east is the Caterpillar pavilion and a very interesting children's museum.

I got my dates mixed up, and we arrived a day early. The hosts were very gracious and let us stay both nights. They have a very nice level spot with full hook-ups, which is rare. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Mark and Celia were absolutely awesome hosts. Mark was able to get our tires aired up after the hubby broke our air hose the day before. I did some fishing in their pond and may just be back to bank that big one that kept breaking my line!

We were so blessed to spend two nights here enjoying the lovely sunsets, beautiful park-like grounds, and conversations with the gracious hosts and other RVers. We hope we can come this way again.
