Lewiston is a quaint, historical village as far west in Western NY, as it gets. We are located at the Niagara River between Niagara Falls, NY and Youngstown, NY. There are numerous parks and state parks to visit and numerous activities to participate in, finding something for everyones taste and preference. Canada (Ontario) is on the other side of the river; the borders are open again. If you are fully vaccinated and you will find a vast expansion of options on both sides of the international border. Suggested Local Attractions:There is a lot of touristic attractions around here. Too many to list. Please search the internet for "Niagara Falls" (NY and Canada), "Niagara on the Lake" (CA), "Lewiston" (NY), and Buffalo, NY. If you want to venture a little farther you may want to include Toronto in your search. Proposed for Lewiston: https://stepoutbuffalo.com/road-trip-series-spend-day-lewiston-ny/

House Rules
No loud music, no excessive drinking and shouting. Keep your friendly dog on a leash please - we live at a busy and pot. dangerous neighborhood road. Please be aware that we have a big and typically friendly dog too. Compatibility with yours, however, should not necessarily assumed before verified. No open fires. No running the generator after 10:00 PM. Just the standard rules of neighborly courtesy.
Location
Access Road Conditions: This is a private home with a straight drive way and a parallel grass patch and concrete patch at the left. You will have to reverse in (crossing a neighborhood road) and have to be a skilled reverser because it is not on a straight line. The final parking spot on the grass is easy to reach, the concrete patch if desired next to the house is tight (10' width max). If you are good in reversing it is not a problem either. If the weather is very wet the access is not ideal (grass tends to get muddy). The smaller your trailer, the easier is the getting in. 5th wheels do certainly not fit. There is a standard household 110 V outlet (15 A), which does not provide enough amps to run your air conditioner. There is also a water connection right there. The spot is not useful for extended vacations (we are in the center of the village) but good for one or two nights. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Either on the grassy area next to the driveway or on a public parking lot (no charge) in walking distance.

We loved coming to the “In th e Village”. The city, Lewiston is beautiful and friendly. The hosts were very accommodating. They gave us area brochures with lots of things that we could visit and see. We had 10 minute access to Niagara Falls and 5 minutes to the Canada border crossing. Water and electricity was quickly available. It was tight to park our 8 ft wide, 22 ft camper into place. We were able to put our 18”slide out but not the awning. The owner was very flexible on where to park- way back in the driveway or towards the front. He even helped guide us back into place. WiFi was great and easy to connect. They have a very friendly dog.

This was a convenient, quiet place to spend the night. Level, grassy spot in the shade. I found it very easy to park my 21 ft. van next to their driveway. Very cute town to explore and very close to Niagara Falls. good communication with very nice host.

Veland and Ann were the most gracious hosts ever! From their helpful tips, morning walks with my dog and theirs Wilbur, evenings talking on the porch, suggesting places that fit my philosophy of travel, right down to driving me around to show the village and scenery. I felt like they’re now lifelong friends as we had so much in common! This was the very best place in all my Boondockers Welcome travels!

I had a great stay in Lewiston and my hosts were very friendly! When I arrived my hosts provided me with some local maps and took some time to tell me about local places to eat and things to see in the area. They said that normally when it is warmer they like to sit and talk on the porch with their guests but when I arrived it was very cold and COVID was peaking again. I am grateful for the hospitality and kindness of my hosts!
