Enjoy the seclusion of being off the beaten path in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont while also being close to all that Island Pond has to offer! Stay on a property with plenty of wildlife, wide open space to enjoy, as well as a few apple trees! In fall, you can pick a few delicious apples while you stay. There is a river rock fire ring onsite to enjoy and you have access to the entire property if you desire to spread out. There is a neighbor an half mile down the road with the best camp firewood for only $5 a bundle. When you're ready to sleep, open up your windows and enjoy being lulled the sleep by the brook that runs through the wooded section of the property. You will likely share your stay with some turkeys, pheasant, or the occasional deer visitor. This is definitely the site for the guest that enjoys a more natural setting. As well, the state beach is only a half mile away so enjoy a dip in the pond before you settle in. Come and enjoy this little piece of the Kingdom!

You have access to the entire property while staying but keep a reasonable distance from the home and be respectful. Note this location is on a dirt road, and you should be comfortable with operating on dirt road conditions. You have full access to the property to spread out and are welcome to use the river rock fire ring and picnic table along the woods. Firewood is located nearby if you desire. Be prepared in advance as well there is very limited cell phone coverage - you will really be getting away! Electric is available on the house (15amp 120v outlet). Potable water is just under the electrical outlet. Plan for minimum 50ft cords and hoses to make it to the parking spot.
Location
You will be parking in the "driveway", on a slight incline which levels out nestled in the trees located at the top end of the property by the wood line. The spot was very pretty. We only stayed one night because rain was predicted and we were afraid of getting stuck somewhere. The communication was excellent. The host was very understanding and most helpful. Would recommend if you are looking for a quite and beautiful place to spend the night.

This was a nice quiet spot that is tucked away in a small lake community. John the host was very accommodating and helpful. There is no cell service but Starlink had an unobstructed view of the sky and worked great. I can highly recommend staying here.

This is a lovely, quiet spot and our host John was very personable and accommodating. The stars at night are awesome. Access could be a little challenging with a travel trailer if you are new to backing in; but most certainly doable and worth the effort. John also was good with recommendations of where the canoeing and cycling is best. The Northeast Kingdom is beautiful. We shall return!

What a beautiful location. We slept very well at night it was so quiet and dark. Great spot to stay for a few days with a choice of amazing hiking trails within an hours drive away. John the host was not there but sent us a list of eateries and local businesses in the area, he also contacted us whilst we were staying just to check everything was ok. Would definitely recommend a stop here if you want to enjoy beautiful scenery, fresh air and tranquility. Thank you for your hospitality
