My family and I have been RV'ing for years. We moved to the the rural areas of St. Louis, MO to be closer to family after spending the past 20 years in Texas. We are currently Boondockers Welcome Ultra Hosts and love meeting new people who art traveling through our area. We typically travel in the summer months or when school is on leave. My wife and I both work for a company that has blessed us with much vacation time which allows for us to travel. My daughters are a lively bunch and love to laugh. When we camp we live and travel by the age-old saying "leave your campsite better than when you arrived". We look forward to staying with you.

We scheduled a stay here (in advance of our long haul road trip) for two nights specifically so we could leave our rig in a safe place to explore the city nearby. Upon approval the hosts relayed there is a (higher than I have ever heard expected) fee for hookups, esoecially water - most do not charge for water. I nicely declined as we would not need water (we typically don’t use much while traveling and other stays nearby offered it for free so we planned accordingly) nor electricty (as we are all solar and are usually fully charged). After politely declining, the host messaged again implying there is still an expectation of a donation. We just replied thanks. I had a not so great feeling but decided to stay with the reservation. And then they just canceled 48 hours prior to our stay there. I realize plans change so trying not to assume they canceled because we didn’t need their hookups. But we will not ever consider them again. We have no problem spending money at a Harvest Host location or a few bucks for electricity if offered. We found a lovely alternative Boondockers Welcome location instead. And enjoyed our stay without expectations.

This is a nice stop for a night or two, close to town, quiet and quite level. Good communication, we'd stay here again.

The Brannans met us when we arrived and chatted with us while we set up. We talked about rigs, places to visit, good hosts to stay with. Their parking area is spacious and easy to maneuver in. We had a nice quiet stay.

I made a request to stay, I was contacted quickly by the host and was asked if I needed water or electric.. I answered no, just a place to park for the night. The host then responded that they were unavailable. HOST RESPONSE: We're sorry you couldn't stay. We did mention in our text that afternoon we had a family emergency as we had just been notified of a death within our family. We not only declined your stay but also canceled another boondockers stay for the same weekend. When we host boondockers or harvest host members we try as best as we can to give our attention, offer services, provide direction, advice, and support for fellow Rvs who are either part-timing, some-timing, or full-timing on the road. As we have been on the receiving end when we were full-timers. Unfortunately we mentally couldn't provide these services when you requested to stay and we declined your request. But thank you for the review
