We have several sites available depending on the weather. Please refer to the RV site picture in our site page to locate your space or see the map at our welcome center when you arrive. We cannot normally dump RVs at our location however there are public dumps at Stan Hedwall Park (Exit 76, closed in winter) and the northbound rest area at Exit 90. Fire pits are available for sites 2, 3 and 5. Ask us about firewood if needed. WiFi is available at all our sites. SITES: Site #1 This is in front of the shop and has 30 amp power and water. Available year round. If you turn right from this site as you leave, PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT THE CORNER WITH YOUR RIG! You may have to go behind the shop to get turned around. Site #2 This is between the shop and the yard. It has 30 amp power and water. You also have access to the table and fire pit mentioned for site #3. Available year round. Please back into this site if you have a trailer so your vehicle does not get blocked in. Site #3 This site has 30 amp power, water, fire pit and picnic table. Well graveled and available year around. Site #4 One gravel site and open field that is only available when the field is dry. No hookups. Site #5 Our primitive or group site is across the field directly behind the red shop. It has no hookups there but can accommodate several RVs at one time if you like. When there is no fire ban you can use the large fire pit in the center. Check with us for firewood. CELL PHONE COVERAGE: Quality cell phone coverage may be questionable depending on your carrier. Verizon has serious issues. T Mobile, AT&T and US Cellular work well. WATER: We have water available to fill your tanks but we recommend you use a filter as the water can have a slight iron taste to it otherwise. We sometimes have several boondockers at one time so let us know what your needs are and we will do the best we can to accommodate them. We are looking forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your stay! Kevin and Julie SUGGESTED LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We have a lot of rivers and trails around for kayaking, hiking and biking. Nearby we have lots of Outlet Malls, antique shops, museums as well as an authentic steam train from spring to fall plus on some holidays. We are only 2 hours from the ocean, 2 hrs to Mt. Rainier, and 1 1/2 hours to the St. Helens Volcanic Monument. To learn more about our local community click here: www.discoverlewiscounty.com and check out our Boondockers Welcome center in front of the shop.

Enjoy yourself! Due to the large numbers of RVers we have, we do need to request that you cover the cost of your electricity (as mentioned in the courtesy contract) if you plug in and use significant electricity. You and your children are welcome to make use of our back yard, including the picnic table and big toy, so make yourselves at home. Pets are welcome too as long as they do their business in the field and not on our lawn. We define the field as anything behind (south) of the fenced vegetable garden area except for in the primitive RV site. If you would like to go for a walk in the woods, go straight back behind the shop across the field, through the group RV site and you will find a mowed trail going into the woods. Everything inside the fence is our property so enjoy the loop trail if you like. The paved road beside our house is also nice for walking or biking and has limited traffic.
Location
Access Road Conditions: Our hookup sites are graveled with good year-round access to them. The other sites are available in the summertime when the field is dry. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Anywhere on the gravel will be fine as long as you are not blocking any vehicle or sites.

Kevin and Julie, retired fire captain and his flame of over 40 years. Details: Welcome to our boondocking site and we truly look forward to meeting you! We are excited to be involved with this great group of fellow RVers. Kevin is recently retired from a 30-year career as a fire captain for the city of Chehalis. Julie is a stay-at-home mom/wife. Together we have operated a wildland firefighting suppression business which we retired from after the 2019 season. We enjoy RVing and are looking forward to many travels around the United States. Our first serious traveling adventure on the road was the year we graduated from college (Yay WSU Cougs!) and we hit the road in our pickup and camper. 2 1/2 months and 48 states later we were back in WA and working at our jobs. We have since hit the other two states. Over 30 years and a career later we are looking forward to traveling more in our retirement. We are now looking forward to really experiencing the awesome sights our country has to offer at a more leisurely pace. Home Town: Chehalis is our nearby town with a population of 7000. A few miles from our home is a WalMart, Home Depot as well as all the other stores downtown. We also have a couple of RV stores nearby if you should need anything from there. Favorite Boondocking Locations: South in the sunshine! We have had some great travels in the south but we also have many beautiful and enjoyable state parks in WA that we enjoy. Skills or Expertise to Share: If you have minor repairs to be made or maintenance you need to do on your RV we may be able to help out. We have a well equipped shop and are more than happy to help a fellow RVer out with minor repairs. We have full sets of tools, welders, cutting torches and woodworking tools.

Had another wonderful stay here. This time we had time to explore the area a bit and see some of the history of the area. We also walked a lovely trail converted from an old railway. The parking at Kevin and Julie's home is well laid out for multiple RVs, complete with power and water. At the front there is a cabinet filled with local brochures. This is one of our favourite stops that I'm sure we'll visit again.
