Our home is located 3 miles from a small town. We have neighbors but all of them are on several acre lots. Our house is set off the road so there is plenty of room for parking. Our location is 30 minutes from Akron/Canton Airport and 30 minutes from Amish Country and 35 minutes from Cuyahoga Valley NP. There are train tracks a 1/2 mile from the house so you will hear the nostalgic sound of trains throughout the night.

Location

Gravel driveway, cement landing to the side of the house. We have been told it's nearly perfectly level :) Park wherever is most convenient but do not block the garage door. We have a long driveway and not a lot of room to maneuver. Please do not use the grass for turning your vehicle around.

My husband Chad and I enjoy traveling to hike and bike around our country. I have traveled to 49 states and most of it by driving so I’m very familiar with our beautiful country! I have also been to 52 of our National Parks. We do not RV but we do travel around in our converted Toyota Sienna minivan. Chad is a home builder and he built it out to have a double bed, LED lights, a fridge on pull- outs and a pulley system for our pantry! We also have reading lights, fans and an intake and output fan. He’s pretty clever and talented! We have 4 children with only one left in college, at OSU, so we are empty nesters. We are not Harvest Hosts members because our “rig” doesn’t meet the criteria but we appreciate the endeavor of searching for a place to stay (we rarely pay for a campsite), especially on the East Coast. This is our way of paying it forward. We hope you enjoy our neck of the woods!

I want to return 100 times more to Kim and Chad’s! Level parking pad (my hubs was a bit obsessed with how level) beautiful location, safe, quiet and the hosts were out of this world lovely! We left feeling like friends. Such generous, humble and kind people. Their Toyota Sienna rig was a blast to check out as it’s put together so intelligently and creatively. We shared travel stories, we learned a ton and felt like this was the very best HH/BW kind of experience. Kim and Chad, I hope we get the opportunity to return the kindness and generosity some day and just spend time with you again. Thank you for everything, you not only gave us a great night’s sleep but a TRULY amazing evening!

We had a nice stay at Joye's. The husband and daughter of the hostess spent an hour telling me about the area. The site was easy to locate and we enjoyed the 2 ponds near their home. We enjoyed listening to the trains passing through the area.

Enjoyed our one night stay at Joye's stop. Very friendly. Great communication. Beautiful location. Quiet except for the nostalgic sound of trains through the night. 🙂
