Island-Snowbird Details: This location is on a 45 acre parcel of land, mainly wooded with a 5 acre lake that we swim at. The woods booster 4-5 km’s of walking-hiking trails. Located of the main highway, we have water and a 50-30-15 amp service, septic hopefully in the near future. To dry camp here $5 per night, but if you are hooked up to the w/e we ask for a $15 dollar a night donation. Pets are welcome only if not aggressive, and do not chase wild geese or our own domestic geese located at the lake. Home Town: We live in rural Prince Edward Island, 6 km north of the Charlottetown Airport, and a further 10 kms to the National Parks (Beaches, Golf, Deep Sea Fishing). Favorite Boondocking Locations: Mostly throughout the New England States in May-June. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am a retired Royal Canadian Navy Veteran, just finished building a log home at this location.

My wife and I did enjoy our stay at Lake View BW and Paul was a good host. The location is very nice and close to the popular downtown area. The one thing that bothered us personally was the request for $15 per night at the end of our 2-day stay...which we did pay. It is worth noting that we dry camped and used no water/electric or any other services. Yes, $15 per night is not a lot of money, but it took away from the spirit of BW. We were planning on making new friends and reciprocating anyway with a gift for our stay, but felt it was just a business. It is a nice place - yes, but the owners should be more transparent about charges for dry camping.

Nice level spot, super quiet area. Easy to get to and super convenient to use as a central location to Charlottetown and the ocean. Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and RV's!!!! Thank you again for your hospitality. We have our fingers crossed that all was okay with your place through Hurricane Fiona.
