We came up the big 395 mountain. Wow, that is where the Basque cross herding sheep!! We saw lots of RVs pulling over as we climbed. Our transmission began making terrible noises. We did drive to Lakeview Ranch but then turned out because we needed to be near 395 for help. The ranch had lots of space and would have been a great stop. Beautiful view! Give it a try.

We stayed one night on our way to Lake Tahoe. Dan and Kara were great Hosts, they made us feel welcome to their property. We hope to go back and visit again.

Stayed here one night on the way north to Tahoe. Really nice host, easy to communicate and very welcoming. Only issue with the site for parking is it's very uneven. I'm in a 32' A class towing a car and was very hard to level. A smaller rig with no car it would be perfect. HOWEVER, the host said they are in the process of leveling so if you have a big rig or towing, check this first. Otherwise, zero complaints. Nice stay.

Hosts Dan and Kara were very friendly and provided some insider knowledge of fun & exciting things to do in the Mammoth Lakes area. Follow the directions they send to their peaceful and quiet location. The lake in one direction and the awesome geology of the Sierras in the other make for wonderful sunsets and sunrises. Great hiking and hot springs nearby. Planning to visit again!
