It was a small homestead. But most of the property has been sold and now we maintain 12 acres with a pond. We have several spots to park with a slight to medium downhill grade. Only two have 30-amp hookups but can provide 15-amp if need be. We can also handle several self-contained rigs. Suggested Local Attractions: The Masters and local golf. Fort Eisenhower[formerly Fort Gordon] and the Cyber Center. The Augusta Canal with Peterburg boats, old textile mills, minor league baseball (Augusta Green Jackets), several medical centers including VA, downtown arts and craft stores, entertainment and eating venues, disc golf, kayaking and boat racing on the Savanah River or Langly pond in SC. Also, we have several parks and hiking/bike trails plus Clark Hill /Strong Thurman Lake for fishing and boating activities which is only a 20-mile drive from us. There are two airfields, one for small aircraft and one for commercial travel. The best feature is that we are located one-mile off of I-20 at exit 194 in a quiet and secluded location but are still close to the main urban area and activities.

We are small homesteaders. Details: I am retired from the Army. We had raised our own grassed fed beef and other farm animals since 1985. We no longer have any livestock, most of the property was sold, (due to family inheritance) and now only consists of 12 acres with a pond for fishing. We have been RVing on and off for several years, we tend to be more of a destination type camper than a traveler. We like river rafting, saltwater fishing, gardening and maintaining our property. Hometowns: Wife: Augusta, Ga Husband: Hebron, Ohio Favorite Boondocking Locations: Dry camping in Florida and North Carolina or anywhere available. Skills or Expertise to Share: Homesteading, Carpentry, Baking, Gardening and Canning.

I had a really nice stay here. Communication was great - nothing more than necessary. Greeted by Jerry and the sweet, welcome dog "Daisy." The parking was in a flat, grassy yard with a wooden deck platform with 2 chairs and a table under a tree. Great spot to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning and smell the overwhelming aroma of the blooming flowers (in spring). Very close to the Hwy and Augusta while being in a quiet neighborhood. Thanks for the hospitality: )

Jerry greeted us and was helpful getting us settled in. We parked in a grassy and shaded area and hooked up to electric and water without any difficulty. It was an easy and comfortable overnight stay.
