We live on three acres of mountain hilltop. The neighborhood is a mix of modest homes as well as some more luxurious mountain showpieces. Some lots are only used for recreational camping. Our place has ponderosa pine trees and lots of rock outcroppings. The views are not panoramic but quite serene and pleasant. We have plenty wildlife ( lots of deer and humming birds the occasional fox or marmot). Our primary activity is sitting around. We have a fire ring that we will share as well as lots of sitting options. Hiking or walking are also available when we're not sitting on our butts. It's peaceful and serene. Get it? Suggested Local Attractions:Our place is very close ( as the crow flies ) to Rocky Mountain National Park. Unfortunately the road to get ther will take you about an hour. We are about 90 minutes from Denver. 45 minutes from Fort Collins, CO. Laramie Wy. is less than an hour north. We are a days drive from Yellowstone. The Black Hills are also a day away. National Forest surrounds our area. Lots of public access and recreation.

Location
Access Road Conditions: Our location is three miles off a paved county road. The road in is a private gravel road maintained by our POA. The road has some tight curves but is well maintained. The incline and curves may not be comfortable to all, but 35 ft. class A's come up it regularly. The turn in at our driveway is tight but with a little finesse it is manageable. Weather can impact conditions greatly. Check with us before you arrive. Once you arrive there is ample room to turn around. Watch out for pedestrians (both two legged and four) Speed limit is 15 mph (less is better). Tow Vehicle Parking Details: plenty of room

retired but still rolling along Details: Susie and I are both active, adventurous and still loving the road trip life style. We became full time travelers in 2002. We both worked and played on the road until 2013 when we began building our mountain home in Colorado. Our home is still a work in progress but are comfortable and able to share our little piece of paradise with other Boondockers. Home Town: We raised our family right here in Colorado. I am a native of Fort Collins Colorado. Susie moved here in the seventies. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are (were) both certified tour directors and tour bus operators.. We have worked in many capacities in the tourist industry. We have worked for Princess Tours in Alaska, Norwegian Cruise excursions in Maui,HI. We have also traveled for a variety of companies doing promotional tours.

Had a wonderful stay with Lucky and Susie. They were very welcoming and accomdating, providing places to visit and see. They both gave us a history of the location and how they came to live there. The location was great for stargazing and just relaxing. Lots of great wildlife. Looking forward to another trip out there.

Lucky and Susie are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met. The three nights I spent there were absolutely delightful and refreshing. There was plenty of room for my Jeep and Airstream Basecamp. I had no issues making it to their place or maneuvering my rig. The neighborhood is very quiet and there is a lot of wildlife. I hope to come back again!

We really enjoyed our one day stay here. Our request was accepted very quickly after we couldn't find a suitable camping area in the Red Feather Lakes region. We had a great evening just sharing our various travel experiences. The hosts are very easy going and we'd request a stay here again if we are traveling through the region. We had usable cell service with T-Mobile, but it depending on where we were sitting.

very nice getaway..overall access was good, just a bit tight for our RAM 2500 quad cab pulling 30 feet of trailer...vut was doable. the evening rolling thunder was a bonus and lots of road for walking. pleasant experience, great hosts!
