House in the woods (5 miles from state capitol) Details: We are retired, beginning our own RV adventure. Two daughters with families in New England and western states. Home Town: Manchester Maine (adjacent to Augusta) Favorite Boondocking Locations: Have to wait for this one. Skills or Expertise to Share: Retired jeweler, extensive woodworking shop, cut our own trees for heating our house and sawing lumber for my projects. extensive travel specializing in hiking. Wife retired State employee, mediates human rights cases.

Hosts Jed and Frannie were very welcoming, accomodating, generous, and caring. Rags the cat was friendly, too. I enjoyed my stay and chats very much. Garden produce may have been involved, but did not influence this review. ;-)

Directions to Manchester Woods were good and we had no difficulty finding it. We were met by the owner and directed where to park. Jed and Frannie were very hospitable and we enjoyed visiting with them. We especially liked the discussions about our Class B motorhomes. We would definitely recommend staying there.

Really appreciated this quiet, peaceful spot on a holiday weekend. Warm friendly host. Perfect parking spot in the trees for a campervan to rest over night.
