We are in the rural countryside North of Port Hope, Ontario. Avid cyclists and hikers, we can orient you to some of the sweetest riding, hiking or driving routes nearby. Port Hope boasts one of the oldest preserved main streets in Canada, attracting historical architecture buffs and film crews (It, The Hardy Boys, Murdock Mysteries and Schitt’s Creek to name a few). It’s also home to one of the best burger joints in Canada - Olympus Burger. Cobourg Beach - a long stretch of Lake Ontario waterfront - is a 20-minute drive east. To the North is Peterborough and Trent University, as well as the Kawartha Lakes region - a rich collection of 250 cottage-dotted lakes.

Pete and Ruth are avid cyclists and hikers who travel with their dog Monster in a Westfalia camper van. Ruth enjoys yoga and needle felting. Pete is into making rustic wood crafts and maple syrup. They both love healthy, diverse food but are known to knock back in one sitting an entire family size bag of Ms. Vickie’s Spicy Dill potato chips.

This place is a Gem as well as Ruth, the host! Ruth m’a accueillie avec le plus beau des sourires et m’a fait visiter les sentiers du boisé situé sur sa propriété. Quel bonheur particulièrement pour mes chiens lassés d’être couchés dans le VR toute la matinée. Elle nous a bien expliqué les «points of interest» situés à Port Hope à 10 minutes de là. My RV was parked on a leveled graveled spot in the middle of a clearing wich was perfect for my solar panels. In summary, I strongly recommend this host!
