We are located a short distance south of Saskatoon on a large acreage/hobby farm. We usually have fresh farm eggs for sale. There is a dump station nearby which charges a fee. Not far from us is a shopping centre with a variety of stores and restaurants including Walmart, Sobeys, Home Depot, Dollarama, etc. Also in the area are Co-op, Petrocan and Esso gas stations as well as Costco. Several attractions are located a short distance from our location. Suggested Local Attractions:Lots to see and do in Saskatoon. It's a beautiful city with a river park running through it with lots of walking and bike trails. There are a variety of art galleries, museums and there is even a kids park with a small ferris wheel and train. Saskatoon has more than 40 annual summer events including art and music festivals. We are 20 minutes from one provincial park and a hour away from another, both with nice lakes. Prince Albert National Park is about a 2.5 hour drive. Let us know your interests and we'd be happy to give you advice on what to see and do.
Vehicle Suitability Information
Separate Tow Vehicle Parking
Campfire Ring Provided
Electric Hookup: 30A
Outdoor Cooking Allowed
No smoking on the property. No running generators after 10 pm. We are pleased to show you around our farm to look at the animals but require that you do not wander around unaccompanied and not feed the horses.
Access Road Conditions: There is pavement to our yard, then a short packed gravel road to where you will park. The parking areas are either on grass or gravel. If you have a larger rig you may need to disconnect your tow vehicle and do some careful backing up to get turned around to park for the night. Leaving the yard you can then drive straight out. Each fall we have semi trucks pulling trailers loaded with bales coming into and leaving our yard with no issues so any size motorhome should not be an issue. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We live on an acreage with a large yard. Lots of room to park.

Semi-retired couple Details: We live on a large acreage/hobby farm just outside the city limits operating a small horse boarding facility and there are also several chickens we keep for fresh eggs. As our family was growing up over the years we have travelled with a couple of class C's and a class A. Now we travel with a class B. Home Town: We live just outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on an acreage. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We love exploring Arizona and southern California in the winter and the mid-west States and Western Canada in the summer. Skills or Expertise to Share: I have a handyman skill set including woodworking, minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical type of repairs. My wife is a small animal veterinarian who works part-time (sorry, she doesn't work for free and only works in a clinic).

We had an excellent time at Greg and Joanne! They hosted us for 2 nights. The parking was a breeze and it was so nice to have water and 30 amp power. Their property is cute (my wife enjoyed visiting the horses) and very well situated near Saskatoon (literally just outside and very close to shops and everything else). We got some helpful tips on some good purchases for our new RV, and some recommendations for places to visit. Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay at Maple Wood Farms, quiet and relaxing! Lots of room for larger RV’s with 30 amp power. Greg was quick to accept our request and made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed visiting with both Greg and Joanne, super nice people. A great place to stay!!

Had a nice overnight stay at Maplewood Farm. Even though the hosts weren’t there, we had clear directions on where to park, and nice quiet location. Would stay again.

Greg and Joanne are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond as really good people. I had a vent cover blow off and Greg was kind enough to offer his help with the repair if needed. When Joanne dropped off some corn and potatoes, from her garden, that she had cooked for dinner. It was the kindest of gestures of support as they knew I was a bit stressed with the repair. So appreciated their kindness and welcome as a solo traveler.
