Located close to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Bring your JEEP, rent a dune buggy or tour with Mac Woods Dune Rides. You can rent a canoe or boat and climb a lighthouse. There is also mini golf and go carts at Craig’s Crusers. Don’t miss getting a meal at the Chicken Shack, it’s a local favorite.

We recently purchased a class C so that we can do more traveling. We tow our JEEP. We want to travel to the south during the winters during our downtime in the construction business. We also enjoy taking our JEEP out onto the sand dunes in Michigan.

made a spur-of-the-moment decision to visit the dunes without realizing that all campgrounds were still closed for the season. our hosts generously approved us even though they were gone for the evening. Level, easy-access parking spot and a quiet night’s sleep. quick access to a good diner breakfast and orv rental shop. couldn’t ask for more — we’ll pay it forward!

Easy access, lovely shade and close to the main highway. Since only one space, nice privacy. Hosts attentive to our comfort.

The communication was great. Host was concerned because of our size (40' Class with 20' car hauler). According to their directions, we pulled in and had plenty of room to maneuver in the yard. We backed the trailer along the driveway and backed the RV next to it. Worked great! We loved the space and location. It is close to Silver Lake, Lake Michigan, and Pentwater. Great Hosts! We hope to be back in the future.

First off, the communication was fantastic. Even though they were out of town, I felt like I was welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at Fox Retreat. The space was easily accessible and level. A lot of grassy area for the pup and they even had chairs and a fire pit out to the side. This area offers quite a lot and of course, Silver Lake SP is right down the street a couple miles. It’s a great place to take a picnic. An adorable little town is to the north just 10 miles and it’s called Pentwater. Hart is another great town just to the east and offers some good food and groceries. They also have a Tractor Supply if you need to fill up LP bottles. Go there and find the Tin Man. I had an enjoyable stay here. I would love to return one day and see more of the area.
