Note: will not accept reservation without a contact phone #. Can't accept reservations more than 30days ahead.. Please allow ample time to reply to requests (2 - 24 hrs.). We have a large yard (a few acres) in a semi-rural area. We offer a patio, patio table and chairs. Could accomodate up to 35ft MH or 30 ft trailer with a tow vehicle.. Many nearby conveniences (see 'Local Attractions' below). We are not fond of hyper, in-your-face, noisy pets, but have no problems with a couple of quiet, well behaved pets that are picked up after. We have 15 amp exterior plugs as well as spigots available with good well water. Wifi available to most if you have a decent receiver booster. Ask for password. 1-2 nights. If longer needed, lets talk. Just common sense curtesy. Inform us by TEXT or phone call.(NOT the BW messaging service. It's too cumbersome!) of expected arrival time (12 to 24 hrs ahead & again 30 - 90 mins ahead). Do not arrive when we are not here to welcome you. We also prefer to be here when you leave, unless we make plans otherwise because of a conflict of schedules. Inform us of any difficulties that we may be able to help with. Glad to help, offer advice if we can, even early or late. You can call, text, or knock on rear sliding glass door (if we're home). Upon arrival (to avoid having to back up), just barely pull part way through gate, enough to get rig off the road. STOP. HONK a few times or call us. We will come out to direct you which side of house to go, depending on your preferences. You may need to turn sharp left across front yard or go slightly right to go around back. Often best to get out, walk around, & decide which will be most suitable for your rig. Vans or very tiny RVs will have no problem turning around anywhere in yard to get best situated. Later rigs need to assess situation before proceeding..Bagged trash or recyclables can be placed in appropriate trash cans ( ask about location).
Location
Access Road Conditions: Short distance (1 - 2 miles) from multi-lane highways. All paved roads, clear, easy access until getting in the gate. Small & medium sized rigs are easy in & out. Our driveway/gate/mailbox/ditch configuration makes anything larger than a 35ft motorhome or a 30ft travel trailer difficult or imposible to get in our yard. (Our son's 30ft TT pulled by a E350 van barely fits). I would think a 35ft 5th wheel would be okay except possibly some large limbs may be an issue for very tall rigs. Driving over fairly level solid grassy area circling our house generally requires no backing. Easy in & out. (Some soft/sandy areas to avoid, thus, need our direction.) Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Towed vehicle or tow vehicle can stay attached or parked separately (in yard only, no street parking). There are level areas available. Easy drive over grassy area makes complete circle around house, so backing is usually not necessary. Other than tightness at front gate that requires caution when pulling in, it is very easy in & out.

UPDATE!!! Recent health issues require us to deny requests from Feb 1- Mar15, 2022. Hopefully, will open up later in Mar. Floridians who have enjoyed RVing for years, but lately are mostly homebound. Details: Lived in FL all our adult lives and have a Stick & Brick on a few acres about 40 miles NW of Tampa, 5 miles from the gulf. We've hosted many boondockers in the past and have always enjoyed their company. Well behaved children & pets have been welcome. Our situation has changed, as our son & family are now living with us & have 2 small dogs, therefore we no longer accept pets unless they are kept inside your RV at all times. Guests are welcome for 1-2 nights. Can connect to good well water and to 15amp exterior plug if needed. ONLY if using SIGNIFICANT ac or electric heat, would appreciate a couple $ to defray cost, but otherwise not necessary. Generator use is fine. Wifi available, provided not extreme use such as large downloads. Some folks have difficulty connecting if they don't have a strong reciever or booster. Home Town: Hudson is an unincorporated town on the NW edge of the Tampa Bay Area. All the advantages of a small town but close (35 min-1 hr) to the amenities of bigger cities - Tampa, Clearwater, St Petersburg, Lakeland. We have nearby a small beach with a nice open-air beach bar& restaurant, ideal for sunset viewing and are 45 min -1.5 hr from world's greatest beaches (Dunedin & Clearwater). A very nice County park (walking trail, tennis, ballfields, racketball, playground, splash area, pool)1/2 mile; 6 reastaurants within 1.5 mile, propane 1/2 m, Dollar General & Circle K 1/2m; Publix, CVS & Walgreens:1.5 m, Aldi 4m, Walmart 5m; many other businesses nearby. Hospital/Trauma Center 3 mi; SunWest Beach & Water Park 6 m NW, Weeki Wachee State Park (home of the mermaids & great kayaking river) 10 miles north. 2 hrs. to Disney/Orlando. 50 min. to Crystal River (swim with the manatees!). Favorite Boondocking Locations: not doing much traveling recently, Hope to again in the future. Skills or Expertise to Share: Former RN nurse, former computer systems analyst. John is fairly knowledgeable about basic automotive, RV, plumbing, & electrical issues, though not as physically capable as in the past.

Lois and John are the best. As we told them, this was better than our last several campgrounds we were at. Lots of space in the yard and the trees were just beautiful. Lois even took time out of her day to visit with us and tell us all about what there was to see in the area. Hope we make it back one day!

John & Lois were the best. Great at communicating with us, especially appreciated the tip about 3 schools nearby and to avoid arriving when they let out. It was a rainy day when we arrived but we talked with Lois for a bit. She was very welcoming and friendly. This was perfect for what we needed. We filled our water tank and our dog, Josie, loved all of the room to sniff and run around. Thanks again John and Lois, you are the best hosts!

The Millers are a great location. Ample locations were to park and very lovely couple. They were there to greet us and show us were we could stay. A hidden gem in Florida
