We are located north of DeLand and just south of DeLeon Springs in the bird sanctuary called “Glenwood”. We are on a gated road just east of Grand Ave. it’s a quiet, safe, and tranquil neighborhood that is convenient to many of the area’s gems. We can provide softened well water to refill your tank, 30 amp power (bring an extension cord), and WiFi. The local KOA is 15 minutes away and has a dump station ($15). The site has early morning and late afternoon shade. We will provide a special gate code as necessary. No loud motorcycles or loud cars permitted; violates our deed restrictions. Suggested Local Attractions:Swimming, kayaking, and eating at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill Restaurant at DeLeon Springs State Park; Mountain biking at Chuck Lennon Park; wildlife observing, birding, hiking, at Lake Woodruff NWR; St John River Eco Tours at Crow’s Bluff Marina; Bike riding at Lake Beresford Park; We are 10 minutes from DeLand where there is a brewery, wine bar, live music, plenty of restaurants, art and shopping. There is also yoga & skydiving! Area activities include Juniper Springs in the Ocala Natl Forest (30 min) Blue Springs State Park (30 min), Tomoka State Park (40 min), Daytona Beach (45 min), Disney, Universal, etc, (60 min traffic depending)

Location

Access Road Conditions: We have a lane that goes around the edge of the property. Because of a light pole’s location, RVs have to go to the end of the street, drive around the cul-de-sac, and then drive back to gain access to the lane. It is partially grass then crushed concrete. Hanging tree limbs aren’t currently an issue. I trim them back as necessary. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Plenty :-)

Retired Military Couple; Love to Travel Details: We love camping in our Lance TT and assume others love camping in their RVs too. My wife and I are retired Soldiers. She currently works part time as an RN. I’m the stay at home guy. We’ve been married 35 years, raised three children, and have lived all over the USA, Europe, and other parts of the world. Besides traveling & camping, we enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, spending time with friends, and just spending a quiet evening drinking wine around a campfire. Home Town: Currently, we live just north of DeLand, FL. Originally, my wife is from Washington, Missouri. I’m from Miami, Florida. In the interim, we’ve lived in 10 states, a number of foreign countries, and trained in or deployed to a number of others. Speaking of DeLand, it is a pleasant small town with many things to do. We are near numerous natural springs, state parks, a wildlife refuge, a national forest, the beach, and many other activities. Favorite Boondocking Locations: They are like children; we don't have any favorites ;-) Skills or Expertise to Share: - Lessons learned from failures 😉 - Nursing Skills - Information Technology - National Security - History & useless trivia

We enjoyed our very first Harvest stop with Bob. Very pleasant and accommodating. The only thing we had (perhaps it is just us) but there are three HOA gates with similar names. And of course, our fault not the host) we went into the wrong one. Perhaps clarify in instructions based on our mistake. We will stay there again!

We stayed here so we could attend a race in Dayton. Loved how we were in there back yard but hidden! Host is great to talk to and has a nice list of things not near by.

Grand merci à Bob un hôte exceptionnel! Terrain très tranquille et agréable, tout près du RV 4 chevreuils à notre réveil. Merci encore Bob pour ton accueil. Many thanks to Bob an exceptional host! Very quiet and pleasant land, very close to the RV 4 deer when we woke up. Thanks again Bob for your welcome.
