The boondocking spot (Beauty Salon parking area) IS NOT available on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Suggested Local Attractions: We live about three miles from Weston and about five miles from Grand Rapids. There is gas, pizza and a dollar general in Weston. Grand Rapids has become quite a little tourist town. It is on the Maumee River and is a beautiful, quaint village. There are quite a few shops, Mary Jane Thurston State Park, Providence Metro Park (Grist Mill and Canal boat rides are available) and a number of restaurants. Most of our area is farm land with woods scattered throughout. Walleye fishing is a big draw to NW Ohio (Lake Erie) when they're running. 90 minutes from Cedar Point Amusement Park.

Such a beautiful spot to spend the night. Really quiet country setting - gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Very friendly hosts who recommended that we visit the quaint, historical town of Grand Rapids.

We needed an overnight spot while traveling across the country. This was perfect for that. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet our hosts.

Charming peaceful parking next to a cottage looking Genesis salon. Beautifully manicured lawn around the house and parking area. Nice change from the pastures I've enjoyed. Big shade trees just beckon you to come and sip a sweet ice tea in your comfy lawn chair. Host greeted me with kind words of welcome glad you are here. Diffidently a place to return too.

NW Ohio Farm Host Skid Rowe “Tranquility Base, the Eagle has landed.” were Alan Shepard’s words after landing on the moon. I discovered Tranquility Base in NW Ohio. The most tranquil place I have visited since leaving Vermont, absolute quiet, the perfect rest stop. Best of all I had dinner guests. I don’t know how the Host planned this, two deer walked out of the woods while I was eating and began grazing in adjacent field. Perfect way to end the day. Thank you for the hospitality.
