This is a Boondockers Welcome host in Waynesboro, MS

Located in rural Wayne County, Mississippi. Not exactly what you'd consider a travel destination, but it's a quiet place to overnight on the way to one. Nearest convenience store is 3 miles and 10 miles from town. Once you've turned onto Thomas Hinton Drive (gravel road) your GPS may lie to you. Don't listen to it anymore! Just go about 100 yards and turn right at the first driveway. There's a red "H" and a green camper sign hanging on the mailbox. And there's nowhere to turn around if you pass it by. There's also an entrance off the main paved road that your GPS may tell you to turn. That driveway entrance has no marking and it's okay to use.

we really enjoyed everything about our stay at oakey woods. Todd is a great host, very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a campfire and chatted about some of the history in the area. Went in to nearby Laurel and enjoyed a round of golf. Very scenic drive as well. Thank you Todd for your hospitality.

We enjoyed our overnight stay on Todd’s property so much. Our campsite was level, among the beautiful trees, with a view of his pond. We finished setting up, then sat outside & had a great visit with Todd & his other guests. We felt we made a friend for life. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re in the area!

We stayed at Oakey Woods for two nights and enjoyed the lovely, peaceful setting. Todd was so hospitable, kind and great to chat with. He made sure we had a great stay, to the extent of providing power and water. We feel like we made a new friend!😊
