Semi-retired adventure seeker Details: I am a curious and appreciative man who loves adventure-- especially the adventure of RV travel and enjoying the Great Outdoors. My partner, Chris, is always on the lookout for items for her two antique shops. We both enjoy music-- we're always singing-- and that's OK since we're in the country and can't bother neighbors. I also enjoy wrenching on motorcycles and my RV. I am a semi-retired dentist and am grateful for the opportunities the profession has given me to serve others Home Town: Exeter, NH Favorite Boondocking Locations: We drove to central CO in May and socially distanced in places like Bass Pro Shop and Cracker Barrel as well as BLM land. Looking forward to using BW sites in the future. Skills or Expertise to Share: As I said I love wrenching and have an adequate assortment of tools as well as a compressor and floor jack. I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and correcting mechanical problems and we are about 10 mi from an excellent RV repair facility.

The “Our Home in the Woods” Boondockers site was very nice. Unfortunately, my planning went awry and I missed getting there the first night because of multiple areas of jammed traffic on the way up from NJ. I thought I had messaged the owner that I wasn’t going to make it the first night as soon as I realized that was the case, but I must have typed my message in the incorrect place because later I realized it had not gone through so I re-texted it and made sure it was sent the 2nd time. I was so glad to have this Boondockers site to stay at prior to heading back home. It was a very welcome and peaceful place to get much needed rest. Also, I was able to access the hiking trails adjacent to the property in order to walk my dogs. And I discovered a large area of preserved land, a one- time dairy farm, just down the road by following the hiking trail which led to the preserve’s parking area.

I love staying here. Enjoy chatting with Peter when I arrive. Very helpful and always makes sure you're comfortable. When everything has bloomed it's completely amazing. Definitely recommend.

Peter is a great, friendly host, my husband really enjoyed chatting with him while I got things settled for the evening. As other reviewers said, just follow his size guidelines and you'll be fine. It was very nice to have electric hookup for the night and he has water and dump if needed too! Nice place for the puppers also. Would stay here again if passing through!

We enjoyed our one night stay. Peter greeted us when we arrived and showed us where to park next to his house. We were able to use his dump station and hooked up to electric and water. The site is next to his house and you should follow his size guidelines. Bigger rigs may not fit. We have a 26' travel trailer and we were able to maneuver our trailer to a level spot. We enjoyed talking to Peter and would definitely return if we were in the area.

Peter was a friendly host and very knowledgable about RVing. Handy to all hookups, the site is well shaded and level. Cool and quiet the night we stayed, I recomend Our Home in the Woods to HH members traveling through their area.
