Be a good guest and pick up after yourself. Be respectful of our neighbors and observe quiet hours after 9pm and before 7am. Be super aware of fire danger. No noisy or off leash pets...we have lots of town deer.

Location

Access Road Conditions: The RV parking will typically be in front of our house on the side of the street, on a hardpacked gravel shoulder. If we are not using the paved driveway, it might be available for a class B sized RV. We live on a paved city street with easy access.

Fun loving, camper van owning couple Details: My husband, Bill and I (Nancy) enjoy all things outdoors, We recently purchased a camper van and are busy planning and going on adventures in our van. We took a leap of faith and bought the van used in Carson City NV...dropped everything and flew out to get it sight unseen...best decision ever! Home Town: When we're not traveling, we love playing in the mountains and the Arkansas River near our house in Salida, Colorado. We also have a house in Colorado Springs Favorite Boondocking Locations: We mostly boondock on national forest land in the western US. Wherever we're currently camping is our favorite location! Skills or Expertise to Share: Bill is an engineer and is very capable of fixing lots of things. First fix on the van was the Thule automatic steps. Nancy is great at talking!

This little happy place was the perfect spot to tuck away for the night on my way north. Quiet street parking, on gravel, level with easy access, and Nancy could not have been more kind and welcoming!

Our hosts were so kind to accept our last minute request for a stay. We didn’t meet them as they arrived home after we had turned in for the night and then we left early the next AM. The parking was right along the road shoulder, so when a car zoomed by the van shook a little. Other than that it was a great stop for the night.

Salida is such a nice town. The hosts were out of town but let us stay at their place. They pointed us in the direction of many great places for pizza, coffee and sandwiches and were very quick to reply.

Nice quiet spot in a nice quiet neighborhood. Close to downtown. Host was gracious enough to let us park in the driveway. Great stay.
