Location

Access Road Conditions: Two lane road, no shoulders, cornering width limited for very large RVs. We have had 34’ RVS here with no problem. One rig with E/W hookup. Driveway back-in parking, max 32’ rig. One rig with water hookup only, for pull-thru parking in pasture. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We can accommodate up to 32’ rig in the driveway and 35’ in the pasture. The pasture parking has access to water only. The driveway has water and 30 amp electric access. Towed and towing vehicles can be parked on the roadside, in the driveway or in the pasture, depending on size of rig and length of stay. We are on a dead-end street so there is little traffic and limited turn-around capability. Turn around/pull-through capability is only for pasture parking. Pasture parking occasionally not available due to tilling or rain making ground too soft.

Retired Air Force couple Details: Dave retired from the Air Force after 30 years of service in communications then worked at a local college in the IT dept and retired from there. I am a retired Physical Therapist Assistant. I play around with the guitar and like photography (even tho I'm not that good with either yet!). We have lived in Turkey, Phillipines, Germany, Greece, and Japan as well as OK, FL, RI, SC, and TX with the Air Force as our guide. Dave has enjoyed long-distance backpacking - he did a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail (GA to Maine) in 1997, a section of the Pacific Crest Trail, and 2,400 miles of the Continental Divide Trail. I'm afraid I don't have the fortitude for that but do enjoy most things outdoors! We still think of ourselves as younger than the calendar tells us and still feel there are so many places we still want to see and enjoy! We live on 5 acres with easy access to/from I-40 east of Oklahoma City, OK. We have 2 small dogs that travel with us. We have a large fenced yard that guest dogs can run in if they get along with our dogs. In the pasture we have free-ranging 5 goats, and some chickens. We have an extra space in our driveway where we can accommodate RVs up 34’. It's quiet out here and relatively convenient to activities in Oklahoma City. We look forward to meeting some new people and going to some new places! Home Town: We live on 5 acres in a small rural area. We’ve been here for 24 years now and enjoy the quiet of rural living. There is a grocery store -5 miles away. Bigger shopping is available approx 20 minute away. Skills or Expertise to Share: Dave is knowledgeable in electronics and computers. He has a basic idea about most mechanical and repair issues.

I stayed at “Our Quiet Five” for two nights. Stephanie and Dave are wonderful people. They are very friendly and accommodating. Their house is a short distance and easy access from I-40. It was a perfect place for me to relax on my cross-country trip. The night was very quiet and I greatly appreciated the 30amp hook up. The water hook up was available as well. Stephanie also provided me with their Wifi password. I greatly appreciated the hosts for having me!

I had a nice quick stay at our quiet five. Unfortunately, both Stephanie and Dave were feeling ill so we did not get to connect much. However communication was great and I was thankful for this rural spot to rest.

Stephanie and Dave were so lovely! Their home was quiet, peaceful, and very beautiful. The perfect overnight stay. I would have loved to stay longer, but I needed to continue my journey. Stephanie came out to greet me when I arrived and helped me get settled in. I met Dave a short while later and we chatted for a bit before I turned in for the night. They both had such kind and pleasant energy. If you park in thr yard, you may wake up to goats outside your rig, so sweet! Many thanks to this beautiful couple.

We chilled out with hookups in the Oklahoma heat. Billy goats gruff, a sky full of hawks and geese, lovely pups and two very interesting people. We love meeting the kind people who allow us respite.

Dave and Stephanie were very accommodating, warm and welcoming. A beautiful quiet setting to get away from it all after days of making our way back to California on the road. We highly recommend staying here, so peaceful and quiet, watching the sunset & sunrise. Great Hosts !!!
