We have been traveling the country and have stayed at many Boondocker's Welcome sites and wanted to return the favor. We don't have much, just an acre and a half but it is a quiet spot with lots to see in the area. Lots of wildlife, deer and turkeys are almost daily visitors and we even have our own beehive. The Ludington State Park is just a few miles away and is one of the nicest in the country. Their dump station is about 2 miles away and is one of the better dump sites you will run across. Suggested Local Attractions: We are 5 min north of Beautiful Ludington and just minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan. The Ludington State Park is also nearby with its many trails and hiking opportunities. Of course, take time to stop by the Todd and Brad Reed photo gallery where some of my pictures have come from on this page. Our site has become even more popular than we had envisioned and it has been so fun to meet such a diverse group of travelers. For the past two seasons, we have not charged anything for electric hookup. This past year we had guests for over 80 nights! While we aren't going broke it is starting to put a dent in the budget. Going forward, we will be requesting an optional $5 per night donation for electricity just to try and keep this cost neutral for us. We know that traveling is not cheap and if you cannot afford it, please don't worry about it, enjoy your stay on us. We do not want you to feel any pressure from us, if you can afford it, great, if not, it is no big deal. We look forward to meeting you.

We are a family of 4 who previously took our kids "roadschooling" on an adventure across the country. We have sold our camper but still want to help the boondocking community. Details: My wife and I have been married for 16 years and we have a 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. In the recent past, we have traveled to 42 states and our goal is to hit all 48 lower states. I work in tech support so all I need is a computer and the internet and I can do my job. Home Town: Beautiful Ludington, MI Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have found that all areas have something unique and beautiful to offer.

I so appreciate the owner's hospitality; you could not ask for a more convenient place to stay in Ludington. Close to downtown and close to Ludington State Park. Parking spot is level with nice, clean gravel and a light should you return after dark. I was disappointed that our schedules did not align such that we could have met.
