We have been traveling the country and have stayed at many Boondocker's Welcome sites and wanted to return the favor. We don't have much, just an acre and a half but it is a quiet spot with lots to see in the area. Lots of wildlife, deer and turkeys are almost daily visitors and we even have our own beehive. The Ludington State Park is just a few miles away and is one of the nicest in the country. Their dump station is about 2 miles away and is one of the better dump sites you will run across. Suggested Local Attractions: We are 5 min north of Beautiful Ludington and just minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan. The Ludington State Park is also nearby with its many trails and hiking opportunities. Of course, take time to stop by the Todd and Brad Reed photo gallery where some of my pictures have come from on this page. Our site has become even more popular than we had envisioned and it has been so fun to meet such a diverse group of travelers. For the past two seasons, we have not charged anything for electric hookup. This past year we had guests for over 80 nights! While we aren't going broke it is starting to put a dent in the budget. Going forward, we will be requesting an optional $5 per night donation for electricity just to try and keep this cost neutral for us. We know that traveling is not cheap and if you cannot afford it, please don't worry about it, enjoy your stay on us. We do not want you to feel any pressure from us, if you can afford it, great, if not, it is no big deal. We look forward to meeting you.

Location

Access Road Conditions: The campsite is in our backyard with access from a short 1/4 mile gravel road that is our east property line. There is a 20' opening in our privacy-fenced, wooded backyard. There is a 16' x 50' crushed asphalt pad to park on. My parents keep their 5th wheel on the pad next to our Boondocking site so you may or may not see another camper back there. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Tow vehicle can park next to or in front of your camper

We had changed our plans from 2 nights to 1. Chris was very understanding. On the day we were to arrive he had some last minute work to be done in the area where we were to park. He made adjustments and had a place for us. Chris communicated very well with everything. It was very nice to meet him. If we are ever in the area we will be sure to stay again!

Missed meeting hosts due to an event they had to leave for, but the spot was wonderful after a long day!! Great directions, level spot in a fenced area. We gladly left some money for the bonus of electric and a spigot to put some water in our tank!! Wished we'd had more time in the Ludington area so hopefully we'll get the opportunity to come back!

Only stayed for one night on my way south but the host was very friendly and accomodating. Privacy fenced in area with a yard light and hookups. Quiet neighborhood. Very nice place to overnight.

While I didn’t meet Chris, the kindness, generosity, and communication were all greatly appreciated. The private, quiet, padded level camp space was perfectly setup for BW guests. The vicinity to Ludington and Ludington State Park is excellent. Thank you Chris & Family for a memorable stay in this beautiful area. I highly recommend a stay here. AAA+

Lonely quiet spot close to Ludington State Park. We didn't get an opportunity to meet our host maybe another time 😊. We did enjoy their lovely spot while enjoying a couple days visiting one of our favorite places again.
