We live in a quiet neighborhood with a lake across the street. Nice neighborhood to take a walk or ride your bikes. Not a lot of traffic. We live near the DeSoto National Forest that has hiking and biking trails. We are located less than 10 miles north of I-10 and about 15 miles north of highway 90 and the Gulf of Mexico. We are close to an outlet mall, Military bases, casinos and lots of interesting places to explore, Museums, a brand new Aquarium, the beach, etc. We have lots of events that happen yearly like Mardi Gras parades, a 7 week long horse show in Feb-Mar, Cruising the Coast the 1st weeks of Oct (huge classic car event that goes on for a week). We are also an easy drive to New Orleans for a nice day trip (appx 1-1 1/2 hrs away). Suggested Local Attractions:The beach, Ship Island Ferry, new Aquarium, museums. Great Mexican restaurant less than 2 miles away, Juan Tequila’s

Location
Access Road Conditions: We live on a paved road that is a dead end. It is best to go to the end of the road and turn around, then back into the driveway because of the drainage ditch to the right of the driveway by the mailbox. We own a 36’ Class A that we have parked in the driveway both ways but it is best to back in as the road is a bit narrow in front of the house with a slight ditch and tree across the street. The driveway is also curved in an S shape so we will be glad to spot you down it as you are coming in. Also on the main road coming into the development there is a railroad crossing, which we have no problem crossing over, and a small hill coming up to the stop sign. There are a couple lower hanging branches on the neighbors’ tree across the street, but if you drive closer to our side of the road it should not be a problem. Not a lot of traffic on our section of the road to deal with. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We are located on 1+ acres, and can park your vehicle in driveway or the yard near your rig.

Weekend RV’er until husband retires. We bought our rig in 2017. We own a 2000 Winnebago Journey Class A diesel pusher. We have been to 48 states by car and tent and a few islands and overseas countries. I am home after a 22 yr career in retail and waiting for my husband to retire again (retired Navy Vet) before we go full time. Home Town: We are originally from the Bronx, NY. We moved here to Saucier, Ms to be closer to our son, his wife and granddaughters and for my husbands job. Luckily my job allowed me to transfer. Favorite Boondocking Locations: The extent of our boondocking had been driveway surfing at our daughter’s in Florida, but finally got to Quartzite, AZ in Jan. 2021. We enjoyed that experience. Skills or Expertise to Share: We do most of our vehicle and home repairs ourselves.

This host is fantastic. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a park at the end of the road on a lake to enjoy. The host went out of her way to make me feel more than welcome. She also took the time to drive me around the area and show me some of the sights. Monica is a wonderful lady, will definitely visit again if I’m in the area

I couldn't have asked for better hosts for my first boondocking experience! First of all, the neighborhood is just lovely. My truck camper was an easy fit and there was a big yard for my dog to explore and play. Monica and Greg are experienced RVers and happy to advise and share. Monica showed me an easy fix for an issue I was having with my freshwater tank and explained how to maintain my water heater. The weather was gorgeous and we sat outside for a long time talking about kids, grandkids, and dogs; sharing photos, swapping stories. These are genuine, good-hearted folks who really want everyone to have the best possible experience. I look forward to meeting up with them in the future!
