Rancho is our home located on 5 acres just 5 minutes north of I 84 exit 95 in Mountain Home, Idaho. A nice oasis as you travel across southwest Idaho or if you are staging to head north toward Sun Valley, Red Fish Lake, or Stanley in the Sawtooth Mountain Range.

We are both retired professionals. Vickie a nurse, me a fire chief. We spend about 30% of our time since 2016 on the road. HH, BW is the only way to overnight enroute to our next destination. We became a Boondocker Welcome host in May 2022 and have really enjoyed meeting new folks as they travel through southwest Idaho

Alan and Vickie were seriously some of the kindest and most generous folks we’ve met, plus they had a huge gorgeous property and were friendly, communicative, and personable while also really respectful of our privacy. It was obvious why they’re legendary hosts! There was plenty of room to navigate w our rig, and large rigs would be fine too. The property is beautifully manicured, and to top it off they’ve got a handful of friendly goats and highland cows as neighbors. Highly recommend!

we did not get to meet our hosts as they were traveling. Host reached out by phone to provide parking instructions. Everything was as he described. perfect place to park at a beautiful homesite. Hope to visit again in the future.

Hosts were very communicative and extremely helpful. Went above and beyond providing us everything we needed for our stay. Even gave us an adorable Idaho gift bag - REALLY sweet! Loved the accommodations and how clean their property is. They exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend. We look forward to coming back!

Rancho was a great stopover! Great communication from the hosts, super easy access with plenty of space,and 30amp service were a huge plus! I even got an Idaho care package from the host, which was really sweet!
